They’d never let us but I’d feel sick winning through cheating. Competition should have integrity, the Cup should be earned fairly.I'd take cheating the cap for a Cup in a millisecond.
Did you miss the Middlestat trade? Unless you mean ANOTHER big moveYou just know that Colorado is going to make a big move too
Then you have some Oilers media calling this 'All in' which is embarassing lolFriedman:

Brad Holland said that his dad doesn’t like to swing and make big trades. “You can do that when you’re in the big chair” is what the elder Holland told him. This was on Stauffer’s show last year. Brad found Ekholm and sold him to Ken- but Ekholm wasn’t a big swing (despite his impact in Edmonton). Guentzel is a big swing. Buch is a big swing. Don’t expect it
Don’t worry, the minute Edmonton tries this they’ll close the loophole.Getting really tired of people saying "they're not cheating they're just doing what's allowed in the CBA" on the mainboard/social media. Sure, LTIR use is allowed in the CBA, but a player staying on LTIR if he's cleared to play is not. Mark Stone 100% should be required to have diagnostic imaging done on or around their last game of the season and have it evaluated by an independently hired specialist. If he's deemed healed and fit to play then he should be forced off LTIR. In fact they really should force any player on LTIR to undergo thorough examination before playoffs to see if they are actually LTIR eligible. The fact that the league doesn't do this already kind of shows how much of a laughing stock the NHL is as a professional sports league.
We should try it ASAP then.Don’t worry, the minute Edmonton tries this they’ll close the loophole.

And Ken executed the trade for Ekholm not Brad. The analytics guys hate to give Ken Holland any credit, it's just silly at this point.Ekholm was a bigger swing than either of them.
For Vegas.

Jeezus christVegas getting 75 % retention too lol. They are getting Guentzel too. Conroy is such a POS
They've added depth without subtracting depth so there's no reason now not to upgrade on a Foegele or Ceci. Going to be a bit annoying if they don't do one of those things, but at the same time I could also see Foegele getting streaky at the right time and having a big playoffs so who really knows lol.I think he's a realistic target
IDk if the defence core worries me that much, the Penguins and Capitals both won with a pretty average defence group
Why not both? We're talking about Toffoli not Crosby
Probably because management knows we’ll be f***ed over if we try.I almost kind of hope we do it, become the sacrificial lamb that’s made an example out of, just to close the f***ing loophole
But Oilers too classy to f***ing play the LTI game.
