Brad Holland said that his dad doesn’t like to swing and make big trades. “You can do that when you’re in the big chair” is what the elder Holland told him. This was on Stauffer’s show last year. Brad found Ekholm and sold him to Ken- but Ekholm wasn’t a big swing (despite his impact in Edmonton). Guentzel is a big swing. Buch is a big swing. Don’t expect it

Can't blame him. Everybody outside that fairweather BS fanbase in Vegas is annoyed about it. Yet these stupid ass GM's keep doing that franchise a favor when they're already Bettman's favorite child
It's a big thing. Why should casual fans start emotionally and financially investing into their teams if an uneven playing field is allowed.

Conroy is going to be fired within three years if not sooner all he's doing is making the team just bad enough to miss the playoffs and pick mid teens while the assets he gets back are late first rounders and long shit prospects.

Totally fine to Vegas adding hanifin over an impact forward

Indirectly f***ing Edmonton seems to be a bigger priority.

Does anyone know the specific reason why Gaudreau left and Tkachuk was traded? I wasn't keeping up with the gossip at the time.

Too many guys have refused to stay in that shithole, hard to keep track. Wanted to go back to America

That’s not how LTIR works.

Sure it is. It gives a team cap relief so they can add players. Your concern is that they "cannot add players due to injury" then they can shift the player to LTIR with minimum 10 games missed. If they have to be cap compliant in the regular season why would it be so difficult to do the same in the playoffs?

This gets rid of all the f***ing around with injuries in the regular season and playoffs in order to ice rosters $20 million over the cap.

NHL clearly has no issue with everyone knowing Vegas is scamming the rest of the league. I guess it's just other teams faults for not scamming too.

We had a layup last year with Yams and Kane. Didn't bother. Happily played Kane before he was 100% and he was not even close to himself in playoffs.
