Rumor: Rumors & Proposals Thread: “I’d buy that for a dollar!!!” Edition

He is available if they can't sign him by tomorrow. They aren't a contender and have some good AHL d they want to give ice time too and if Carrier decides he isn't part of the future, they want to get some assets for him. The playoffs are just about experience for them, winning a cup isn't their goal this year so if Carrier isn't part of the future, get a pick. Same thing Philly did with Walker.

Yep, he ADDED everything he could. Tomorrow will be about upgrading certain players (Ceci, Foegele)

Edit: Now I honestly don't believe anything else will be added. Lots of teams looking for similar things and I am not 1000% convinced Carrier or Eberle WILL move. But I do like that Holland is clearly still looking.

If we get Carrier, Zub, or Parayko, I'll take back almost everything bad I ever said about Holland.

I wonder if they're still looking at Kunin.

If they do end up not getting Eberle and running a 2nd line winger by committee, he wouldn't be a terrible option to throw in there with Henrique, McLeod and Foegele.

and I also didn't say we should just wave a white flag and give up so where did your assumption come from

of course anything can happen but those are very strong teams to beat. our easiest route to the finals was two years ago and we squadered that (because of horrible Dcore and goaltending), care to take a guess what our weaknesses are again this year?
The horrible D corps that's top 10 in almost every statistical defensive metric this year, that D corps?

As for goaltending, for goalies that have played a minimum of 10 games, the League average save % is .897%, Skinner has a .906% and Pickard has a .909%

Those situations are not a dire as you are making them out to be...

ITs pretty obvious he is waiting on Eberle or Carrier cause all signs point to them being available IF they can't get signed by tomorrow.
Nostalgically, I would love to bring Eberle back and just load up that top 9.

Nuge - McDavid - Hyman
McLeod - Draisaitl - Eberle
Kane - Henrique - Foegele
Janmark - Carrick - Perry
Ryan

I'm still remaining hopeful for tomorrow to be Carrier/Eberle in, Ceci out.

If nothing else happens, I give Hollands deadline a B-. If we are including Perry in there, it's a B+

Of those 3 it’s

Parayko
Carrier
Zub

In that order for me

Agreed, but Parayko would be hardest to make work because of his contract, though we would also have him locked for six more years. Carrier would be the easiest option cap-wise and might be almost as skilled as Parayko but lacking the size and physicality. Zub has skill and size, and is cheaper than Parayko but more expensive than Carrier. He does seems more injury-prone than either of them though.

I don’t think it’s fair to give any grade until after the playoffs. Sometimes the teams that just tweak are the ones that come out on top. Look at Washington and Pittsburgh as examples.

Parayko is the dream plug and play guy for Nurse. I just can’t see a world with that pair not working and being a rock
