Parayko's shown durability coming back from an injury two seasons ago. The whole St. Louis team is a disaster in its own zone with massive problems with forwards coming back to help (sound familiar?) and wide-open slot high danger opportunities. They're leaking high danger chances I've read, 7th-most shots in the league from that area per 60 minutes (30.62) and the ninth-most slot goals per 60 (2.42).

This is the oldest team in the league that's exited their window and not exiting it gracefully. Parayko is a big, durable two way defender who has tread left on his tire. Definitely worth investing to upgrade the top tier of the Oil d-corp.
I’ve been beating the drum on Parayko for a while, and as great as Karlsson would be I’d love him as a plan B. To me this defense would be a really good option to be a legit contender the next 3-4 years minimum, assuming you can extend Barrie at a reasonable price which I feel like is fairly likely.

What exactly is wrong with making an obvious statement? He plays better actual defence than 5/6 Oilers D and if Nurse chooses to play stupid hockey (which he tends to do every 2nd or 3rd game) ... welp.

Oilers Goals Against With Desharnais: 2.6 GAA/game, Desharnais has a +9 rating in 12 games

Oilers Goals Against Without Desharnais: 3.44 GAA

That's a huge f***ing difference lol.

He plays 11 minutes of sheltered ice-time per game.

LOL, you are out to lunch.

You just openly talked about how you hate ken Holland, that he’s a dinosaur past his prime, you made assumptions that he isn’t doing his job, then you appeared to recognize that you were hangry? I just encouraged you to slow down your thoughts and breathe. Let’s just wait and see is all I’m preaching before we judge Kenny.
Thanks Dad

Everyone wants Holland to make a trade Immediately but it takes two gms to pull the trigge and I’m guessing other gms are in no hurry to make a deal.
and if Holland acts desperate to make a trade sooner rather then wait then the asking price won’t come down then we’re all upset because Holland overpaid.

Karlsson destroys Parayko, if the assets to acquire are even remotely the same, you trade for Karlsson everytime.

You absolutely do not trade Bouchard for Parayko

Not sure how moving a big defensive d man that has helped the D and PK (since we were looking for a player like that) which gets rid of the Oilers 11-7 is a wise idea. I get that the team's in a cap crunch, but a move like this just to put in Yamamoto is just very uninspiring.

If anything, I'd also rather have Holloway over Janmark.

Because he's a rookie, the fact that he's better at defending than the other Oiler D other than maybe Nurse when Nurse isn't playing like a chicken with its head cut off says what?

The PK instantly looked like hot trash last game with him gone.

Nurse is a better player than Vinnie in his sleep. Good grief.

Broberg kicked one of the goals into his own net by the way.

Best PK dman

I actually don't think it's a stretch to say he's the best D on this team. Actually watch and iso the D group ... Desharnais by far makes the fewest dumb errors and is consistently the hardest guy to play against.

If he wasn't a rookie, he should be playing 20 mins a night because he's better at actually defending than Ceci is and Ceci is our so-called "no.2 D".

What did Kane say when Tarasenko was traded? I missed his comments and him seeming to be upset about it.

Hard to keep track of things these days with every #insiderrrrr saying things could possibly maybe potentially eventually probably happen. Or not.
Something about how that was a team he wanted to go to and it hurt or something that Chicago couldn't make it happen.

He's been on a couple rants as of late lol. Took some shots at management over player development and moving on from young guys.

But Holloway doesn't have to clear waivers. Janmark does, and has shown to be a serviceable and versatile player. We can live without Holloway for a few days.

Bad back, no thanks. Why are they trying to sell him in year one of a new 8 year deal?

The PK without Desharnais (surprise surprise) also looked like total dog shit against Detroit. That was killing us pre-Desharnais, and oh look ... it looks exactly the same now without him.

To be fair, it looked terrible with Vinny in Montreal too

No, the right move was to waive Puljujarvi to see what that might have created for cap space.

Then you could have done what you did today if you needed to. Puljujarvi is sunk cost Holland can't bring himself to admit.

Oilers have the worst "insiders" in the league AINEC

They are so lost without the endless leaks that used to come with MacT and Chia. It's sad, but also kinda funny. Really eexposes how poor they are at their jobs and how much they did depend on leaks to be even close.

Yeah because the group was more focused on their stupid Superbowl viewing party than showing up to play that day. Vinny was like one of the few Oilers that actually gave a f*** about playing that day.

The shot clock being like 9-0 Montreal to start the game tells you everything you need to know.

He only has a mere 1 assist in the last 8 games with an average of 15+ mins TOI. Need more from him, especially when he's been in games on a top 6.

I don't know all the insiders are all over the god damn place as of late.

Also how are insiders going to get information without leaks? That's literally the only way rumors come about.
