I’m disappointed that this shit is being stalled even longer (and hate hate hate seeing a short handed roster to dress junk like JP) but am still expecting a move or two by the TDL. I think these local clown media speculating that Karlsson would be an off-season add are right, especially after what Brad Holland said yesterday
Yup. It’s the JP saga that’s getting me down really.

Loved the player for a long time.

But the team needs to start moving on.

Agreed I hate these moves to see him play. We just made our roster more weak.

Holloway > pJ any day of the week

We're sitting in a wild card spot, OK, the Oilers might want to realize this, they're not gaurunteed anything, they're not even in the top 3 in a weak division (sorry but getting close and then letting off the gas every time doesn't count).

We need Desharnais in the lineup ASAP, we have Colorado on Sunday, we need him in.
The Oilers will make the playoffs. And if they don't, Desharnais not being in the lineup is the least of our worries. Lol.

Duncan Keith was not the reason we got to the WCF, the pair of 2PPG centers were, and actually was a large reason we lost 2 of the games vs LA. Only game where he was a driving force of a win was that 2nd game vs Calgary which was the more lopsided of the two series. As for the flat cap, every team and GM had to deal with that. That's why there's been so many of these good cheap RFAs that weren't qualified in recent years across the board like Dylan Strome. If AA came in and played at the level of a good 2nd line winger he would've been qualified even with the flat cap and we would've made budget cuts elsewhere to make him fit, but he came in and played horribly. As for Nurse, the entire thing could've been avoided if we just didn't bridge him straight to UFA and gave him a long term deal at the end of 2020 like he originally wanted, but instead we just had to hand Kassian that 3.2 mil.

Hyman I'll eat crow on. I thought he'd be a 5.5 million dollar value player the first 3 or 4 years and then a millstone at the end, but this year he's playing like an 8 million dollar value player which can make up for the likely fall off towards the end. Kane was a good pickup but it was a once in a lifetime gift that involved Kane forging a vaccine card+his ex wife going off the deep end. Ditching Kassian wouldn't have been necessary if we just didn't extend him to that albatross in the first place.
Ok you win Holland is the worst thing to ever happen to our team. His moves have all been absolutely dreadful and we have zero chance of ever making the playoffs with him at the helm.

Except he’s not and we are a perennial playoff team. Like any GM he’s done some good things and some bad things. I guess you preferred when we drafting 1OA better? When we sellers every deadline? I mean clearly you don’t think Holland has lived up to his promise of making the Oilers a perennial contender? Except once again he did everything he said he would. I will never understand all the hate this guy gets. Of all the GMs we have had since Sather left Holland is easily the best of the bunch.

I officially hate Ken Holland. It was mild dislike before.

Yes he’s made some good moves like Kane and Hyman.

Butt the guy is a dinosaur and past his prime.

Look at New York pushing through making things happens meanwhile back in Moron cave we have Kenny boy letting this Jesse shit go on and on. It affects the locker room. Make no doubt about it.

Get your 7th round pick Holland and start doing your god Damn f***ing job.

I think I might need to eat. Could be hangry
Says the guy who won’t acknowledge when Kenny makes a great trade. It takes some time, patience and cap compliant maneuvers. We need to chill.

Desharnais is the Oilers best or second best D (when Darnell is choosing to not play brain dead).

We can't afford to have him out of the lineup for any extended period of time here.

Man, I feel for JP. This is starting to make the Oilers look bad dragging this thing out. Just let him go to another team to try to figure things out. Poor kid.
People don't seem to realize that puljujarvi's biggest asset right now is money out in a Karlsson trade

Also Woodcroft yesterday said Holland has a lot of "balls in the air".

I doubt sending down two players is the only move in his pocket. Breathe people.

That’s ok. We don’t all have to see things the same way.

I mean getting this Pooly saga over with. It’s not helping the team. Pushing through = making things happen.

These movies could be a precursor. So let’s hope so

I just don’t see how the Rangers are relevant. Different teams in different situations looking for different players.

With us having a game today maybe a trade happens after the game or tomorrow morning. Who knows.

Wtf? No one wants him. . Holland doesn't want to waive him because he may get picked up .That's why he's still on this team

You feel bad for him for what? For sucking? Being useless?

JP with a big game tonight!

Him falling down and not whiffing on a puck is a win

Nah. He has had the entire season to deal with Puljujarvi made worse by the brutal contract he gave him in the summer. He knew what he had and kept kicking this can down the road.

I don't know why he'd be worried about him being picked though. He's just a throw in at this point to make cap work.

He gets claimed then you probably don't have the other gm's telling you they want a late round pick for taking him in a deal.

Holland has big problems getting things done on a time limit. He wouldn't pull the trigger on firing Tippett for well over a month longer than it was obvious to everyone else.

Now this year he's going to drag this Puljujarvi thing right down to the wire, probably forcing us to ice a weaker blue line during a critical stretch of the season because of it.

I just think the real negative here is that the team has no flexibility.

If Hyman/Bouchard is sick today and McLeod blocks a shot in practice and cant go. They are literally running 10 F and 5 D.

Might be fine for a game or two but playing with fire.
