Looking quickly at a few teams I'd throw a mid-to-late round pick at San Jose for Namestnikov. And if Yamamoto is LTI for the remainder of the season, you can consider some of the RWs with a bit of salary. Paying a 2nd to run a defensive liability to play on his off-wing just seems frivolous.

If you're looking at goals when talking about Lars Eller, you're looking at the wrong thing, too. Eller is a defensive workhorse. A shutdown center. Did you witness guys like Danault and Backlund last playoffs? They made life difficult for our star players. They're not out there to just score.

For forwards don’t really want much else unless it is a cheap cheap depth piece.

D anything to stop gap the RD defensively for the playoffs

You have to consider injuries too. Like what would happen if RNH had to miss some playoff games? Suddenly you have to go with

Kane McDavid Yamamoto
Kostin Draisaitl Hyman (?)
Kostin McLeod Foegele

I'd prefer the flexibility of having Domi in there, it gives you the option of still playing McDrai if you want.

The ugly side of Toronto's sports fanbase gets reeeeeeeally ugly. Cheering when Durant tore his ACL (even US fans were like "man Canadians are terrible people"), Torontonians throwing slurs at Steph Curry's mother (when her husband played in Toronto! Steph Curry lived in Toronto growing up!), someone being shot and killed at the Raptors championship parade, all the crap Phil Kessel took, etc. etc. etc.

Taking shots at a child who passed away from cancer (RIP Ben) because you got worked in a regular season game seems about par.

I know you can't paint the whole fanbase with that brush certainly, but the worst parts of their sports fanbase is really, really horrendous.

Yeah I lived in Ontario for a bit and was really surprised how redneck they actually are and this is coming from an Albertan :oops:

Getting EK in the summer would be cool but he’d be just that little bit older and closer to falling off. Term is really scary on Parayko but I’d feel a hell of a lot more confident in our shot at the cup this season with him taking Ceci’s spot.

Normally I wouldn’t care in the slightest but going after a child that died of brain cancer because your hockey team lost a regular season game against a team not even in you conference is just over the line.

Oilers just need to not bleed goals with their bottom 6. Kane's return should shore up most of the top 6, Holloway could also be a good addition to the 4th line.
