If Yamamoto is having concussion symptoms you have to LTIR him. 3 concussions in a year is perfectly reasonable grounds for a guy to miss 20+ games.
Honestly I prefer if we could just move him as we need that cap and it makes it way harder to move him if we have to ltir him so often.

Obviously hope the best for the guy but move the asset if possible

The Arizona Cap Hits aren't taking salary back.

Yamo could probably be LTIR’d the rest of the season and traded for next year. Could work for them. They still have to ice a team so Shore is a cheap option to actually skate.

That should probably even be league policy... 3 concussion strikes and you're out for the season... then there's less worry about players being hurt to the point of their lives being ruined (hockey players want to play hockey and will never take themselves out) plus a team can legit deal with their roster knowing a player will be on LTIR the entire season and won't be coming back.

There should also probably be a policy of X number of concussions and a player no longer plays in the NHL.

This is an absolute excellent idea. Why can fans figure this out but not NHL player safety????

He has a 10 team NTC though and I don't know how much he liked his time in Edmonton the last time he was here... so not sure if he'd even consider coming to Edmonton.

Detroit isn't exactly paradise either though. :)
He loves the city and the fans. Hated the coaching staff gifting big minutes to the golden kids while he saw little to no PP time though.

We had a really bad frustrating team when he was here though. 34 years old and running out chances for another cup. I hope it happens

I see the point, but it would be abused probably pretty quickly (ie: teams concealing a concussion when a player begs the trainer not to say anything).

I like the spirit of the idea but of course you know that no players would ever get concussions anymore after implementing that rule.

Just a whole lot of upper body injuries and neck problems.

Im more just worrying about the human at this point. Like Tua in the NFL. Dude should probably not play anymore. I’m not sure if Yams should either….
I don’t want him to be 40 and having headaches and vertigo everyday
That's what I was saying in a not so proper way. Look at the last concussion Tua got. Guy looked like a vegetable couldn't even walk. That many concussions in such a short span is not healthy. Have to think about future life no doubt

When he was here he hated the coaching staff always gifting the golden kids all the premium ice time. He told MacT to either play him more or trade him.

The Arizona team should honestly be in Hamilton or Quebec City but that's just me
Phoenix is a massive market that the NHL doesn't want to lose. The city itself has around 1.7 million and the surrounding area close to 5 million. Problem in Phoenix is the arena was not actually in Phoenix, it was 45 mins away by car to get to games in normal traffic from downtown. It will never be a canadian market obviously but the NHL feels like they can be successful there if they get that new arena in actual Phoenix.

The current proposal up for a public referendum is in the suburb of Tempe, AZ. This is where the Coyotes believe they can attract more season ticket holders because it's closer to where the majority of their fan base lives.

Also I mean go see some "pro hockey" in an embarrassing college ice rink or go watch this instead ...
