Bouchard's advanced stats to me are like dangerous diarrhea. You can have 1000 good bowel movements but at a critical time you shit your pants.

He's not a playoff performer. I want someone that can ramp it up when it counts. By all reports he plays soft for a big man.
to be fair, Hyman wasn't a playoff performer either. He had 13 points and 5 goals in his first 27 playoff games and then popped off for 16 in 16 with 11 goals last year.

I'm not sure Max Domi really fits here..

Plays center or wing, good shot release, good speed, has a bit of an edge, 53% in the face off dot, I believe he's buddies with McDavid too.

I mean it would be more ideal if he shot right, but all things considered, what's not to like if the price is a 2nd?

I think he'd be a 20+ goal scorer here.

I've heard that Max Domi is insufferable which explains his short stints everywhere he goes.

Could do worse as a rental though.

He is in his second NHL season. Last year was a rookie. Young defenders will make dumb moves from time to time. They are magnified when you have a d partner worse then you or just can't cover. Broberg and him worked fine cause of lesser minutes. Kulak is his second most used partner and Kulak is decent, just not a legit top 4 d so they struggled. And all of his other partners were nothing.

Its why young guys often get paired with good vets. When he shits his pants in a critical moment, you have a partner that can cover.

Can be a pest too. He fits the bill as a top 6 forward on this team. Cook Kenny!

He's apparently been horrendous 5 on 5, not producing much outside the powerplay

I'm not sure Sheary and TVR would cost us a 1st. Last year we waited until the last minute and got Brassard with 50% retention for a 4th round pick. Sheary and Brassard both were/are at .5 PPG

So he prevents 1000 goals and is on ice for 1 and everyone loses their minds? Much better to let in 500 but make it look like you tried

It never stops with Bouchard but he's apparently the f#cking "de facto guy"

Bouchard can't be trusted in that position. It will cost us everything.
Suffering suck-a-tash

No better then Mel Blanc. He did all those voices. Unreal

Low risk insurance to provide RD depth but also to mitigate against their elite competitive advantage, PP regression if Bouchard's tough season regression continues. As bad as Klingberg's season has been, the guy has 59 playoff games experience including 2019-20 where he rolled off a 21 point in 26 game miracle run to the Cup.

Buy low insurance for this team's greatest weapon.
The power play scores at the same clip with Barrie and Bouchard
