Exactly what I have been stating the last hour. He is still getting paid out.

The 5.5 speculating was laughable.

Chia's totally gonna get destroyed on that Lucic contract, but they'll probably end up making the playoffs (or coming close) next season. McDavid is just too good and Klefbom back plus Larsson is a reasonable enough upgrade on the D. But then in 3-4 years every 2nd topic on this board will be "can we throw in our 1st rounder to get someone to take Lucic's contract?". Book it.

I think you forget how many points Oilers were out of the playoffs. For them to jump up that many by losing Hall and adding Larsson and maybe lucic is laughable.

The Clarkson/Lucic comparison is dumbfounding. What do these players have in common? Lucic has proven to be a force his entire career. Very physical, probably the meanest S.O.B. in the entire league. Fights, scores, hits. Great along the boards with skill.

Clarkson can't hold Looch's jockstrap. Way younger too. I don't see a comparison other than they're both "power forwards".

i really don't know why all of you have RNH penciled in as 3c, playing RNH as 2c and Drai on the wing is the more likely scenario.

We do need a 3c regardless, would be nice to get a guy who can actually play like a good 3c for once, we seem to always run 2 4th line C's in our bottom 6 =/
