I've grown to appreciate Pierre. I mean, sure, he can come off as very creepy at times, but the man knows his hockey, and is effective at communicating that on the broadcast. His analysis is spot on and understandable most of the time. His commentary is definitely a breath of fresh air from Doc's irritating ply-by-play.

Also, I need to get something off my chest. Whoever is calling (and by "calling," I mean the head honcho controlling camera angles, replays, etc.) NBC's broadcast is awful. I feel like exploding with rage every time a penalty happens, because they almost never show the replay. How can they not show a replay of a penalty? Nope, just go to commercial or show the bench until the puck drop. I don't remember it being this bad in past years. Anyone else feel the same, or am I crazy?

I'm the complete opposite.

I like the way Doc calls a game. I like that he's excited about goals being scored. On a network that has no rooting interest, hearing how excited he is when something happens around the net (for either team) makes me smile.

As for Baldy between the benches, if I never heard or saw from him again, I would not miss him. He allows his biases to show through and that compromises his ability to be taken seriously. Yes he knows that game and that is part of what makes him un-listenable at times. I find him to be almost as bad as Chico is for the Devils in the sense that his bias is obvious and very much overbearing.

And while I think he's an idiot and a dolt, I have been very impressed with Milbury's analisys between periods. Again, there's a bias there, but less obvious than Baldy.

AV has been about as excellent as a coach can be in the playoffs. Outstanding work. Kreider will be out against Emelin every shift come Game 3.

Name me one player on this team who doesn't look fresh.

I think the players only meeting before the game yesterday shows you that. A lot of it is MSL. He's such a huge leader on this team.

We would be golfing now if it wasn't for MSL and his decision to keep playing for the team despite the loss of his mother, then everything changed.

But I don't think MSL is the leader of this team, and I don't think he wants to be, after only a few months here. We can all see that Richards has taken that role.

This team's TOI reports are a work of art:

- Top 4 D all getting around 22:00
- 3rd Pair getting a few minutes over 10:00
- Top 9 all more or less around 17:00
- 4th line getting 10:00

It's...it's beautiful....

No one getting 29:00, no one getting <5:00, everything is spread out completely evenly.

That's why the fact we went 7 games in the first 2 series isn't a huge concern.

When your top pair is getting 30 minutes / game, it quickly becomes an issue.

And don't forget, 1 series 2 years ago was 8 games, not 7.

Ah, the triple OT game against the Caps. I remember watching that game until 6:45 AM and having to work at 8 AM. I went home at noon since I was dead tired.

I think the older fans who have experienced the 'lows' would be more apt to agree with you TB. I was at the Garden for the Montreal goal in OT and I know what that knife through your heart feels like.

Of course, this Ranger team feels different. They aren't looking behind (as of yet) and are really focused game to game. If they keep this focus, they should be ok.

I agree, we should not be getting ahead of ourselves. I'm bothered by people posting brooms in the main board. So much work has to go into what this team is achieving and no one can let up. Not even that fans. Remember guys who are going to games, you are the 7th player on the ice who is exempt from too many men on the ice penalties. Keep the Garden load and rocking. More cheers than jeers. amping our guys up will be more effective than trying to get into the Canadians' heads. Their players are a bit more mentally mature than Crosby so I don't think that will be as effective.

IMO, the Canadians were the far better team in Game 2.

Switch the goalies and it's a lopsided victory for Montreal.

I expect to win this series, but the next one will definitely be harder than the previous 3.

Probably right, chosen...

MTL will come out as they have everything to lose, and they will play hard, and on the road. The Rangers will need to be prepared to match that. Match that early, stop them early, and get on the board early and MTL can fall into some bad habits and take bad penalties and that could be the series. Key will be matching that energy and physical play.

Cam talbot.. He looked dead out their last game. He could barely moved

lol Cam is probably loving this right now. Got 21 games under his belt in his first season, played exceptionally well, and now part of what is becoming a magical playoff run. :)

Will Cam/Diaz/Fast/Miller all get to dress and lift the trophy if we win?

We're not talking about any of this yet. You don't start dreaming until you GET to the finals.

We still have a series to win. Two more wins are not guaranteed.

Everyone needs to calm the **** down.
