Most likely getting attached to Murray to dump his salary anyway.

Anyone know when the series will start?

The Sens paid a 3rd to move Murray at 25% retained. Why would it take a first to move him? What an idiotic post. He also nixed a few trades, so clearly there was interest in him beyond just the Leafs.

Florida just beat a better team than the Leafs and Leaf fans think it's a cake walk LOL.
I haven't seen one person say it's a cake walk.

There's no reason to not be happy facing a weaker team. Florida can be exposed a lot easier than Boston with their lack of depth at defense and inconsistent (to be nice) goaltending. Not to mention it's a Maurice coached series so you KNOW he's gonna find a way to do dumb shit.

Florida is going to try and drag Toronto into the mud and grind it out.

We'll see how much Toronto can produce off the rush this series and how much sustained offensive zone time they can generate.

I would guess that Toronto wants to get the top line against the Staal pairing. Hopefully the Brodie/McCabe pairing can shut down Tkachuk.

Off topic and I am not sure why I was so surprised but man o man was Gustafsson ever excited last night in the celebration.

If he can pitch in once and a while or just be a ggod guy in the room it's a bonus

We should really remember the Habs' series from a few years ago before thinking it's a cakewalk.

It will be a good series but the devil will be in the details. No doubt the Leafs' will be more relaxed which should help them control play more, but hopefully they don't get caught defensively and missing those little details that made them successful against Tampa.

I"m excited but I remain humble.

It will be cheaper for me to fly there and get playoff tickets than at SBA
This is always such a myth haha. Flights this Friday to next Tuesday (assuming you wanted to go to both games in Florida) are all over $400 from what I saw, and that's before tickets, hotel, food and drink etc. The cheapest resale tickets for games here vs. Tampa were far less than that when you add everything in for a weekend trip in Florida.

Honestly, I would rather play Bruins than Panthers. The boys play better when there is an uphill batter, hopefully, they watched tonight game and realize the Panthers is just as good as them and will fight for every game just like them.

The only thing easier will be the reffing that Boston usually gets.

We just traded a 1st to dump Mrazek. The sens didn't have to pay much because we were desperate for goalies. Murray is also owed 7 million in actual salary...

Lmao we've got posters policing on how one should conduct themselves. Nobody cares my dudes. Just enjoy.

You want to be overconfident? Be overconfident.

You want to whine about penalties? Whine about penalties.

For everything else, there's the ignore button.

This 100%

Also the invasion at Sunrise in games 3 and 4 is going to be legendary lol some snowbirds getting a seriously cheap close in view of half a playoff run.

Yep - hopefully they turn out in force and we effectively get an all at home feeling series.

Not a first, you're misrepresenting things. They got back a high 2nd. They moved back a few slots. Mrazek also had multiple years left on his deal, not just 1. The buyout is also peanuts. Why would they trade a first for like a million in cap savings?

Why I'm excited? If we run a balanced 3 line forward group, there's no way Florida's bottom 4 will be able to stop us. We have so many more legitimate weapons than Bostons overrated forwards.

Why I'm nervous? Matthew Tkachuk is a top 5 player in the world. He's built for these games.
