Let's go boys.

Win this game and you will get the monkey off your back. I did not think we would go 7 games with habs but at the same time in not shocked. They have a team that does not give up.

I have faith, show the hockey world this is a new team ready to win, game sevens were only scary for the old leafs not this leafs team.

Win tonight, show each other your ready to move on and take that new burst of confidence all the way to the big show.

Go Leafs Go!!!

If the Leafs can just win tonight, they can inadvertently kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

1) They got Tavares extra rest time by blowing a 3-1 lead making him close to returning (he wouldn't be on the ice surrounded by other players if he was still having concussion symptoms so it's likely just the knee that requires heailing).

2) Bergevin gets applauded and gets handed a 5 year extension for taking the Leafs to Game 7 even if it results in a loss.

That is a good point. I would rather face Montreal a couple more times than have to go up against Winnipeg without JT. Although ideally Muzzin is not hurt either. Main thing that sucks is that Winnipeg will have a ton of rest and we will not.

"Players who are diagnosed with a concussion must complete a return-to-play progression such as the one provided below:

Stage 1: Symptom-limited activity

Daily activities that do not provoke symptoms.

Stage 2: Introduction of aerobic exercise

Stationary cycling at slow to medium pace, limiting head movement. Introduction of functional movement patterns in the 3-planer motions; no resistance training.

Stage 3: Progression of intensity and duration

Interval training (e.g., stationary bike, treadmill, elliptical, etc.) and light resistance training.

Stage 4: On-ice non-contact activity

Begin with skating around the rink, with gradual progression of both intensity of exercise and magnitude of movement, with low risk of head impact.

Stage 5: Non-contact drills

Continue with intensity established in the previous stage, but now add additional cognitive, sensory and visual tracking burdens; this typically includes the involvement of coaches and/or teammates (e.g., puck handling, shooting, positional play). Off-ice activity includes introduction of resistance training and plyometrics.

Stage 6: Controlled body contact

On-ice activity shall involve controlled body contact (e.g., with coaches or teammates) and cognitively complex drills simulating game situations.

He was at at least Stage 4 days ago now.

The concussion seems over with I guess given all the activity he’s doing, hopefully Tavares’ leg is healing well, in clips he seems pretty decent.

Playing Tavares would be a mistake and a distraction that the Leafs do not need.

The entire game will be focused on his health and every shift and every hit he takes will get amplified.

Concussions are tricky and risky things you just don't mess with.

Boudreau says players usually step up their games 20% in the playoffs. Which Leafs have done so? Not many IMO. Might explain why Jumbo looks slower and why the series is tied 3-3.

Spezza's comments pretty much confirm the obvious that Tavares is still not ready to play. Muzzin is also out.

Odds are getting stacked against us but even with injuries, this team is better than the Habs so I really hope the management and coaching isn't using the injury excuse if we drop this. Time to make real changes if they can't fight through this adversity.

Outside of Game 3 (1st game without Muzz) against Columbus, Dermott was really solid LY. I do like his ability to roll off attackers and breakout, so need him to be great tonight.

Edit: but ultimately means nothing in 34 and 16 can't produce

Yesterday I was sure that I won't watch tonight.... But I just set the alarm for the start of the 3rd...:DD

Dermott is solid 95% of the time and then he makes a dumb decision like his spinorama at own blue line in OT that you just can't do in the playoffs.
