Keefe is not a good coach man, keeps going with what hasn't worked and has no accountability for guys like Simmonds/Thornton, other NHL coaches with less depth would've done far more changes. Heck the Avs didn't like Soderberg's play as a replacement in the last round so they gave some Finnish kid his NHL debut last night.

Could've used Lehtonen right now instead of giving him away to CBJ for free to not hurt his feelings, just saying.

Even if Leafs win this series, Keefe got outcoached last year and in this series.

He's in over his head and doesnt have the experience, in my opinion. Pretty average so far.

It's a carrot for the team; win tonight and reinforcements are coming. There has been a TON of talk about how good the room is, how it is a tight knit group and how they are all playing for each other. I think this is just playing into that... clearly JT is a key piece in the room, else they would not go to these lengths to have him around the team.

Just because he cannot play tonight, doesn't mean its not meaningful to have him around the guys who are playing tonight. This also all plays into the now very evident mental fragility of this group. I think with a win tonight they bust through that mental inhibitor.

Dunno. More likely scenario is somebody above Keefe's pay scale twisting a doctor's arm (should Tavares make a miraculous lineup appearance).

I know I haven't talked to you in a while and I know I haven't made it to church for like the last 30 years but if you could please help out the Maple Leafs tonight I would really appreciate it.
