history would suggest you need that game breaking 1c. just being a realist.

I don't know that you absolutely have to have any one thing in particular. But as you said, the 1C axiom holds up much better than the 1D or the Goalie.

I do think you need someone playing like a top 2-3 Forward in the world. There's just a little more play to it for Centers than Wingers.

Regarding torts and Michkov: This guy holds ALL the cards. If Torts does not build a system around Michkov, he’s gone. Michkov is set to be a franchise player and may be a flyers great.

So, I think Torts is gone before Michkov gets here. I thought that before last night too.

Just started reading about Michkov's dad and the rumors that he was trying to get Michkov out of his KHL contract, left home saying that he'd be right back, then they find him dead after Michkov apparently received a mysterious call from someone on a device with bad reception somewhere...

Long time lurker and first time poster… Been a long time since we could debate whether a kid is gonna end up being “just” a 40+ goal and 80 point guy, or a 50+ goal and 100+ point superstar. Most I’ve been invested in the Flyers and first time I’ve had hope in quite a long while. One of the hardest pieces to acquire and Danny managed to do so in his first offseason as GM. Still a long ways to go with the rebuild, but this is one hell of a way to start.
