On the Fortescue penalty sometimes the viewer doesn't see what sets a player off. For instance someone giving him a really nasty and sneaky cheap shot that goes undetected and maybe even it happened a shift or a period before......and they know they did it and act like it's a joke.

When you see somewhat acting out usually there's a reason.
The broadcast showed the play before Fortescue's hit - Fortescue and a UConn player got tangled up in front of one of the nets and were roughing each other up for 5-10 seconds. Play continued and they broke up, the UConn player went to the far boards to make a play and ended up on the ice. He got up and was skating across the ice to the bench and Fortescue pretended to not see him and skated through the UConn player's head.

No matter what the other player may have done, Fortescue is responsible for his reaction. He's the one that got kicked out the game and gave the other team a 5-minute power play.

So is he coming to NY next year or does he need one more year to cook?

take another year. BC or hartford, doesn't matter. but take the time.
exactly. Not interested in having another kid not get a chance to sniff pp1 time.
When Panarin is gone that should be the time or if guys like Mika and Kreider are traded to open up more time.

I think it's unlikely that he returns to BC. If he's ready for the NHL, there's no reason to hold him back, but we'll see.

He'll have nothing left to prove in the NCAA. Too good for Hartford. He'll be playing at 185 if he's 178 now. Send him to Barb Underhill's summer camp and let him shine.
