A penny for the other GMs' thoughts now.
I would think most of them are happy with the player they selected.

Stramel and Barlow seem like the only ones who have really struggled.

Don't get me wrong. I think Gabe will end up being better than a good number of players who were picked before him, but it remains to be seen if it actually plays out that way at the NHL level.

And had 2 assists yesterday on 2 goals by Hagens.

BC/Perrault has played 13 games so far this year. Perrault has 5 2pt games, 2 3pt games, and was held w/o a point in 2.

Last year Perrault played 36 games and it was a lot of the same - 15 2pt games, 6 3pt games, 1 4pt game, and held w/o a point in 6.

Geesh.....if they manage to keep this kid past the deadline......I for one will be shocked . It is not like the Rangers and Drury is running out of moves and assets to improve them instantly . Cross my fingers....

I'm not too concerned. He's one of the best prospects in hockey and possibly the steal of the draft.

I can tell you're an older poster based on 90s PTSD. When was the last time the Rangers traded their top prospect?

I thought Perreault had a pretty good game. Had some really good chances on net. I think he biffed an open net tap in but it was hard to tell on replay if the defenseman's stick deflected the shot across the crease.

Fortescue on the other hand. An idiot putting his team down five and getting himself ejected with a stupid, behind the play, elbow to UConn player head.

As far as Fortescue: 19 year olds are prone to do stupid shit. Easier to get a player to tone down his edge than to develop one. I’ll take it. All part of the development process.

Oh, i don't disagree at all. It's a chief complaint with the Rangers right now (lack of edge) and the hope is he'll find the line and tip-toe it. This isn't the first incident between his two years at BC and at WJC where you see he's trying to be tough. Trying to protect his teammates and himself. Only thing is that he has a short temper and I think other players know that and that they can get under his skin.

Hopefully maturity will smooth out that temper a little.

On the Fortescue penalty sometimes the viewer doesn't see what sets a player off. For instance someone giving him a really nasty and sneaky cheap shot that goes undetected and maybe even it happened a shift or a period before......and they know they did it and act like it's a joke.

When you see somewhat acting out usually there's a reason.

Well yeah, but I don't see how that it is of any consequence other than maybe Drew should take some tips from the UConn player?
