I always thought that "burning a year off the ELC" was overstated in its significance. I believe it ever more so now in the age of giving big extensions to top paying players before they hit free agency.

I agree with this overall, but for if it is for 2 games as speculated, then it is a waste IMO.
If we end up making up the playoffs, and he can practice with the team, even if he doesn't dress for the games, it'd be ok. But if we don't make it, it's not enough time in and around the squad to be useful

It’s a waste by design - whether it’s only two games or a few more in the playoffs.
