Management/coaching didn't like him calling them out and wanted him gone which is fine. The rush to dump him at any cost is completely unacceptable.
They should have held onto him until the dust started to settle on free agency because I'm sure there's a team out there who lost out on their target(s) that would have given up an asset for him.
If there was no demand at a TDL where Savard garnered a 1st, 3rd and 4th, I'd say the league gave its verdict.
I mean they were able to move Gus and the rest of his $3M.
He's a younger, more mobile but less offensively skilled version of Yandle.
The league valued him slightly higher than Stralman.
