Same.

Per Calgary fans though, 0% chance. Weegar/Hanifin go before him.
I'm sure fans don't want him to go. But, I would be stunned if they moved Weegar before his extension even starts after he was a part of the Tkachuk trade.

They have some serious cap challenges this off season and some soul searching to do with how this season played out after the big trade last summer.

It will be really interesting to see what they do.

I wonder how much pull the analytics guys really have in the roster players. Seems like sentiment and emotion are ruling the day. I get it, the players really get along well. 10 of then can go to Tahiti during the 1st round of the playoffs. We can get a Blue&Gold video out of it!
It has never been 100% analytics.

It has been the scouting side and the analytics side working together.

I buy the souring on Ekblad for injury reasons or contract reasons.

1st, Joker, Rosen is a price, however, doesn't make me flinch at all for bonafide top-4 d (right shot no less) drafted somewhere between 2014 and 2022.

That's exactly what I want out of this summer, and we'll have to pay to get it.

I want them to shop up a top 4 defensemen but I'm not locked in that it absolutely has to be a right hand shot. The Power-Samuelsson pair and find a partner LD to play the cover role for Dahlin is also on the table.

Yeah, I agree. LD is fine is the fit is right (Chych, Ekholm). I'll take Right shot on 2 equal options though.

It's what I want out of our 1st.

I think we would all be pleased if we could get this for next season. Graves would cost too much.
That’s a damn fine looking top 6 and it’s well within reason. Mayfield would be a huge add, I’ve been wanting him for years.

Would be curious to see what Joker looks like on the bottom pair with a defensively responsible player. Maybe last ditch effort to get him to be serviceable. Think I would rather pencil in Boosh over Joker on that third pie though.

Is this realistic for next season ?

I have a feeling Mayfield and Soucy are both going to be grossly overpaid for what they bring, so I think they may be priced out of Adam's range. Adams seems to emphasize decent value contracts, I just don't see him overpaying out of desperation, even if it might not be a bad idea at times.

Since it would likely require an over-pay to sign either, if he were to grab one, I think that would be his one big offseason move. I would be completely shocked if he over-payed for two UFAs. But we can all still dream I suppose ;)

Guy has a couple of bad games in a playoff series (ok, really bad games), and the entire fanbase turned on him  But I think the Avs dumped him trying to get anything before they lost him to Seattle in Expansion.

If I remember correctly, Colorado's PK dropped off quite a bit with his departure early that next season, and he's been good in that department for the Devils. Big, mobile D, wins battles and can PK.

I only brought him up because he has been suggested as a target in here by others, and I wanted to draw a reference to age and where he was when he was Joker's age (still in the minors), which put some context on how young Joker still actually is as an NHL defenseman.

I honestly don't see Graves as a realistic option because I think he is going to be pretty overpaid for what he brings, so I don't think Adams goes there, but I do think the Sabres are a better team with him in Bryson's place on that third pairing. He's been actually solid for Jersey, and I think this team could use a 3rd pairing guy that can win some puck battles and can take a lot of Dahlin's PK minutes. With that in mind, I would not complain if he were brought in, as long as they don't think he is the top 4 solution and the term and AVV aren't too long/high.
Graves was in Benders good graces because he decide to take booking shots seriously. But once Jared losses confidence in you, it's over. The fans opinion doesn't matter. Bednar's matters.

They knew Byram was arriving and expressed confidence in a number of other projects on D.

Alright Kevyn, your evaluation is over. Get rid of the fat and get an actual top 4 d man for f*** sakes!

Edit: And another goalie! Comrie just gave up the 8TH goal of the night!

Another year of Comrie
Another year of Stillman
Another year of Bryson
Another year of VO

I wouldn't expect too many changes next year.

Adams gonna suck all he can out of this patience bullshit mantra.

I'm about as pessimistic as they come about Adams actually doing anything, but I'd be surprised if Bryson and Olofsson are back. Olofsson from a pure numbers perspective, and Bryson because someone has to be the odd man out and I think he'll be the pick.

Make that 10. I mean its really 10. Its that hard to believe a coach would leave a goalie in for 10 goals.

How is team morale not demoralized by leaving Comrie out there like that?

So many teams will be tight to the cap be next season even if it goes up 3 million instead of 1 million. Do your job Kevyn and take advantage of the situation.

What numbers? Olofsson can’t find his way out of the lineup now and they aren’t going to add a forward with experience to block young players…who aren’t likely to be here next year. He’s a stop gap that was signed for two years for that exact reason

Bryson wasn't an Adams player. He's the obvious choice.

You have ten forwards, none of whom are fit for a defensive-only line role:

Skinner-Thompson-Tuch
Greenway-Cozens-Quinn
Mittelstadt-Krebs-Peterka
Olofsson

You're not putting any of those players on the 4th line. One has to go.

Iirc when the Kings were world beaters and Sutter pulled Quick after 2 goals that weren't even his fault and screamed at the bench they don't deserve him as a goalie tonight. They stepped up and ended up winning. It can really set a precedent to the rest of the team but you need to be that kind of man in command.

I hope they get comments from Comrie after this shit show.
I hope the team gets an earful from Comrie after this.

Do they take their ball and go home? If they completely collapse I hope Adams rethinks the heart of this team.

You're more confident in KA getting a top 4 d than me

We’re at defcon 2 here. The divide between wanting what’s best for the franchise and wanting what Adams wants. His plan and hope was to roll into next year with this roster and net situation. Almost everyone is signed…most of the bad pieces run out after next season. His plan everyone loves involved one more year wasted with the Olofsson’s, Brysons, Comrie’s and UPLs.

Every disaster on the ice gets us closer to him having to do his job this off-season. I say faster p***y cat, kill kill.
