Tonight should more or less end any playoff hopes for Buffalo this season.
Its not like he is 30 years oldHe played on average, more minutes last season in his rookie year. He had about 2 shifts per game more than he's had this year. He's played less PP minutes, playing more minutes on the PK.
He's slightly more physical this year, he's Blocked a ton of shots this year compared to last year, he's giving the puck away more this year, than last and is taking away the puck less.
He's not having that much of a Sophomore slump. It's just who he is.

He does seem to have stalled in his development. He may not be worse, but he sure ain’t getting better.
For this 25 game chunk he has regressed in my eyes, which indicates that his development is currently stuck in neutral at best. I didn’t say that would be the case forever.25 games into his 2nd season and his development has "stalled"?
Development. Is. Not. Linear. Especially for defensemen.
Have you looked at our points percentage? Almost every team has games in hand.Cmon
You're right, development is not linear. Being "Stalled" in development doesn't mean, he's done. I would say his development is stalled, not because of Power himself (solely), but because the coaching staff is pretty bad in developing players overall.25 games into his 2nd season and his development has "stalled"?

Apparently we're not allowed to say that after 25 games.Power will still be a very good player but I think it’s fair to say his defensive development has stagnated
words mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people, but I think most would agree when looking beyond the semanticsApparently we're not allowed to say that after 25 games.
Not really - most people are on the same page that saying someone has stalled doesn’t imply that he’s permanently stalled and is a bust. Only one person is interpreting it in that nonsensical way.words mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people, but I think most would agree when looking beyond the semantics
Cmon. Holy hyperboleNot really - most people are on the same page that saying someone has stalled doesn’t imply that he’s permanently stalled and is a bust. Only one person is interpreting it in that nonsensical way.
Ya, Comrie and his .857 save percentage isn't giving me any warm and fuzy feelings.Ehhhhh, I don't really see the need to upgrade in the net unless it's a definitive upgrade to a legit #1 NHL goalie. And there isn't one available, nor has there been one available to go get. Maybe possibly Helle was available at some point this summer, but I want(ed) no part of that extension he signed.
UPL has been providing us league-average goaltending, if not ever so slightly above. I don't see any reason to upgrade there unless it's a substantial upgrade. Comrie is fine as the backup.
I do like the idea of Sturm, certainly. He'd be a really nice 3rd/4th line center who can actually win faceoffs and would be a solid add to the PK.
Duclair seems redundant to me, especially when (if?) we get healthy. All offense, no defense speedster. In fact, he's probably a fair bit worse in his own zone than a lot of what we're trotting out there now (unless he's improved since last I saw him).
It’s not that we have too many of the exact type of players that is wrong, but that we have too many of the same type of players that just aren’t effective in winning games.Petekra should have some decent trade value. Although I wouldn’t trust KA to fix the build. But we just have too many of the same exact types of players.
They just showed him a video breakdown of the last several games.
He had some outrageous moments tonight. Not in a good wayPower will still be a very good player but I think it’s fair to say his defensive development has stagnated
You’ll get your sub 6 foot scoring winger in the draft and you will like itI don't care if we have the 1st Overall Pick ... We better be trading our 1st Round pick for an upgrade this summer.
I love how people default to height as the problem. SmhYou’ll get your sub 6 foot scoring winger in the draft and you will like it
