How does this support your argument Levi isn’t getting work?

He’s on pace for 33 starts.

And I have no interest in giving UPL a workload like that.
I don’t remember making an argument that Levi hasn’t been getting enough work. But I assume that he’ll get a lot less work now that Comrie is healthy. I’d rather send him down to the AHL and let him get reps in the AHL than sit in the press box in the NHL.

At times while UPL and Comrie are healthy Levi should be in the AHL. When one of them is injured Levi should come back up. You know, Like a regular #3 would be treated by any other org?

I’d like to see him get roughly 35-40 starts. 15-20 nhl, 15-20 ahl.

Maybe KA doesn't want to send one of Tokarski or Cooley off to somewhere else? It shouldn't be a big deal, but maybe IDK. Levi's development and getting a bigger workload in Rochester should take priority though. Even still, if that's the case just trade Comrie and split UPL/Levi the rest of the season. Either way, this current plan is the worst option to continue.

This goalie scenario and the 8 D-men makes for a fairly unexplainable situation that KA has settled for. Somebody has to wring an answer out of him before too long.

Wrong thread. Trade a goalie
Nah, send Levi to Rochester. Earn it the way every young goalie has to.

He was given the opportunity last year and is his year and hasn’t been able to seize it. Nothing wrong with that either, nobody expected him to be our immediate savior before his brief stint last season

They literally have an “earn it” sign in their locker room where they walk out. They ought to embody it and live it so it’s not just a sign.

Fair enough

I think they're doing with Levi the goalie version of what they did last season with Quinn/Krebs/Peterka. Rotating in and out of the line up until comfortable enough to be a regular.

Whats going on with Greenway? I thought it was an injury, now its for personal reasons?

Remember last year how the defensemen were always injured to hell and back but the forwards remained relatively healthy?

Yeah. The script has flipped this year (the emergence of RJ as a competent NHLer has also drastically helped the nicks/dents we've had on D)

I don’t disgree but that doesn't explain why Greenway’s status changed. He went from a game time decision last night to “out the next two games for personal reasons”

First thought with Greenway was perhaps a non-hockey related health problem, which could be scary as hell and not something to be speculated about.

So perhaps the issues for next two games are unrelated to why he missed yesterday's game, just coincidental timing.

We need bottom 6 players. He would fit on the 3rd line nicely. Its not a cap dumb. Not sure why you think because he has 2 seasons left its a bad trade. Thats the point of Vancouver retaining.
At 3.5 Garland is worth it for a 3rd line player with some grit that this team doesn't have.
He'd be yet another undersized player that while willing, still isn't the best defensively. Also Vancouver that has little cap space this year or next sure as hell won't want to eat any for 3 seasons. Also, explain why that entire team has exploded offensively but Garland's stats are pedestrian at best

At this point I'm not sure what trade, or signing, or off-season move makes us a playoff team...for the foreseeable future?

Like, every guy needs to get a lot better.
