I don't think Okposo is ready to resign.

English is weird. We have re-sign, resign (as in quit) and resign (same meaning as the first). The difference between the three (other than meaning) is pronunciation. For the second one, the S is pronounced like a Z but a translator doesn’t know that.

There’s a reason English is referred to as “three languages in a trench coat”.

Tage is 1000% still injured, PP has been abysmal, just had a baby, his wingers have fallen off a cliff. He will be fine

So who (guesses) are we scouting in Chicago and Ottawa ?
I wish the answer was Jason Dickinson, but Chicago locked him up recently. I still think he's the exact type that we should have added in the last few seasons (especially when he was essentially a throw-in in the first Stillman trade between VAN-CHI). Veteran responsible C/w who chips in offense.

They went with the Krebs experiment instead and it might finally be showing some signs of progress, but we probably make the playoffs last year if you swap those two.

I wonder what the ask will be from Calgary for Hanifin and what it would take to get Coleman as well. They need more players with a pulse, even if that player is close to the end of the line.

That was my first thought as well - American Jokiharju.

From Ottawa, maybe Joseph?
Something around Jokiharju and Murphy would be interesting. Impacts are similar with Murphy having the edge defensively, and Murphy plays with more snarl.

I could see Adams buying low on Chychrun.

I'd love Coleman. He's exactly what we need, cap be damned.

I'm not wrong. He's struggling. It's ok.. he's built up enough credit to take some lumps.

What signs of progress?

"Might finally be showing some signs of progress." Tried to qualify it three times in one sentence to the horror of grammar teachers everywhere.

He was a nothing for the first half of the season. And now he's been better than nothing the past couple weeks? He's at least attempting skilled plays, playing with some jump, and getting moved around the lineup as a reward. It's not much, but I'm hoping it's a sign he'll have some value to us or in a trade in the near future.

Probably not worth it.. sounds like he plans on testing FA no matter what

He is the equivalent of Jonathan Hurbedeau. The league has figured him out.
But he still produces high danger chances, he had a bunch yesterday where he went towards the net with position and looked to pass and Skinner was off in La La land and Tuch has just stopped going to the net. Tage needs a physical winger who goes to the net and can elevate the puck and another winger who knows how to support him when he goes full Tage.

I'm curious what a winger with speed could do in place of Skinner. That guy is just killing transition right now - I see Tage back in his own zone, makes a strong play deep in his zone, chips/passes it up to Skinner who then just bumbles it away and they're right back on defense. He's done it at his own line, at the opponents blueline and a couple points in-between in the last few games. Even just having someone who can move the puck with speed ( I would say pace but that's been harped at by Don so I need a different word now) and show some level of high work rate to turn what Tage has done in his own zone where he does seem more involved into something else at the other end.
