Can't wait till you realize Power is shit and you'll be banging your head right next to me. Saying only 4 more years of 8.25 mill
So, in your opinion, Power will always be shit? That's a bold prediction given his age + defensemen his age rarely play the minutes he does + it takes years for players to hit their prime, especially defensemen.

You may be right in the end, but it doesn't change the fact youre jumping the gun with this opinion.

He could possibly become a top 4 dman if everything turns out sunny.. but I don't think the contract will ever look good

No why would he, you're wrong.

Reactions: My Cozen Dylan
As soon as Power figures out he needs to be more physical and thus fills out his 6’6 frame, he’ll be everything we want him to be. His flaws derive from his tentative playing style and not much else.

I have faith he’ll turn it around…eventually
Unless Power improves his shooting he wont ever live up to potential. He is the worst on the team.

Nice to see Krebs finally get some quality linemates. He's had lots of jump lately.

We already know Mitts is versatile. I'd rather see how Cozens fares on the wing than Casey.

What did Robinson do to get pushed out of the lineup by Olofsson?

Power was a softie in college...He'll remain a softie in the NHL as well...He's just not physical...Period.
Just would like to add, that he’s also currently being developed and coached by a soft coaching staff as well, that is being overseen by a GM that favors the soft/finesse sort of game over a little more bite and grittiness.

Anybody thinking a physical element will materialize in Power’s game will be waiting a long, long time.

Are Oloffson and Grig of any value as rentals ?
I imagine they come cheap at 50 off

Okposo resigning?

Zemgus yes
VO you can have for free, maybe he could provide a short lived, new scenery bump with some PP time, before drifting back into the abyss.
Okie no idea if he'd even agree to moving

Sabres should sell Okie, Girgs and EJ. Otherwise, do nothing. This isn't shopping season. Unless there's a player out there with term you have to have, paying deadline prices is foolish for a team with zero chance of making the playoffs. I look forward to the bevy of 4th round picks coming our way.

Edit: Also VO, but I can't see anyone giving up a real asset for him.

Olofsson probably similar to or less than what the Rangers spent on Vatrano a few years ago so something in the 5-7th range.

The other two likely if they want to go. For what? Not sure - could see a late 2nd at best or some sort of off brand level defense prospect. Probably something in the third round range though what year is also an option.

from a Sabres fan POV: Sure Girgs and VO are available probably would just need a decent draft picks and a C level prospect. With Okposo being such a professional and great leader of men, he can be had for a decent cost

From a Hockey fan POV: Girgs should be fetching quite a few suitors with his style of play. Perfect candidate for a bottom 6 lineup spot that fits what the playoffs ask for. Would be a great fit on the Rangers. VO, you don’t want him. He wouldn’t fit your team at all. Stay away.

Okposo is a good depth piece for the 13th or 14th forward on a team that is a playoff team. He probably would be favored, if he was to be moved, to go to a contender. If he re-signs in Buffalo the league should do the fanbase a favor and disqualify Adams from being a GM going forward. My gut tells me this will be his last playing season in Buffalo. He probably would be more likely to take a behind the bench role than play another year.

If you need a PP gunner who doesn't do a whole helluva lot else, Olofsson is your man. If you've got space on a line that's solid defensively but is having problems scoring, he might help there too. Olofsson probably could be had for like a 4th or 5th with 50% retention.

Girgensons? If you're looking for a bottom 6 guy with grit and PK ability whose game will likely shine in the playoffs.....he's your guy. Cost? Likely a 2nd or a 3rd.....maybe a B-level reclamation prospect.

Okposo is basically the same as Girgensons, but can handle net front on a PP and has a bit more of a scoring touch.....but is slower. The question will be if he wants to go anywhere at the TDL. I think most Sabres fans get the sense that he'll be here for as long as he wants to be.

No PP spots avail so probably Girgensons for C depth . He doesn’t have an assist so hoping he’s cheaper lol
