U18: Roster Team Canada

Pelletier Newhook Perreault could be a pretty lethal 3rd. line. That is, of course, if Hockey Canada doesn't cut Newhook. which is something they often tend to do.

Pelletier got hurt in the playoffs, hasn’t looked 100% since the injury. I wouldn’t be surprised if he either can’t play or HC decides that they don’t want to roll the ice on a potentially injured player.

Played tonight scored and lost .. so he should become available. How late can they add players.
Poulin may become available if Sherbrooke get eliminated Friday.

He’s been playing hurt though is what I meant to say. Now maybe he looks back to full strength but he didn’t look the same in the games I saw after his injury.
 
Damn you, Dach. you'd just couldn't go out 4 straight. you had to make it a series.

oh well, perhaps Byfield joins the team tomorrow in time to play the 1st. pre-tournament game on Sunday.
 
With the current roster, this team will be very interesting to watch. A lot of talent on this team.

As others have said, it is a little concerning with this many 02's on the team, especially in terms of forwards (even though the 02 crop looks extremely promising for Canadians).

I can't see the 02 forwards being given consistent top 6 minutes. And they don't seem like guys that have played a lot as 4th liners so I'm not sure if they could excel in those positions.

This team is missing some grit imo.
 
Jakob Pelletier joining the club in Sweden. Has a sprained ankle, so we’ll see how that progresses but appears he is going to suit up.

The 02' guys (many of them) will only be there for the camp and experience, they do this every year. There will be ~5 guys brought in and the 02' guys will go home. There will still be a few 02's on the squad
 
Any word on the lines? Will we see Cozens, Krebs, and Newhook all center their own line, or will one of them shift to the wing.
 
Any word as to whether or not they'll fly Byfield over? would love me a 6'5 skilled center on the team.
 
Really have hoped Constantinou would have made the pre-comp roster. Started the year well before going to a bad team and showed he can be a productive offensive defenseman playing with skilled guys
 
I suspect Hockey Canada will wait until a few more of the 2nd round CHL series’ conclude before formally announcing additional players. Aside from Pelletier, we could see Dylan Holloway, Samuel Poulin, and Jordan Spence added. Byfield is available as well, but I’m curious to see if Hockey Canada will send an 02 home to replace with another 02 (even if the other 02 is a superior player).

Spence sprained his knee in the same game Pelletier was hurt so both have been injured. Hopefully it doesn’t hold either back.
 
Any word on the statuses of Byfield and Holloway? They would be huge additions for this team.
 
Why they don't push the u18 in mai, i don't get Most elite players of these ages are often still in the playoffs. it's basicly the because showcase before the draft.
 
If Prince Albert wins on Sunday, Dach will also be available. Would be a huge add to what is a pretty good looking team on paper.
