I do, unless you liked the merry go around we had on the left wing last year. Got to remember Lucic is most likely gone next year, so unless you enjoy seeing someone like king in the top 6 on a regular basis I think we need to keep him.

I like to look at the bright side. Brown has as many goals as Getzlaf, Perry and Kesler combined....on less shots :yo:
 
Kings top four appears to be set. Doughty and Muzzin can carry a pairing, McNabb is getting better every game, and Martinez can perform at a very high level when on. A Forbort-McBain third pairing really intrigues me.

McNabb-Doughty
Muzzin - Martinez (just roll with it).
Forbort/Ehrhoff - McBain

Dean has gotta be looking for a top four RHD.
 
OK, I looked it up; DB is tied 13th all time with Tom Chorske and Tyson Nash in shots without a goal. Craig Adams leads with 84 shots without a goal. It will be a hard road for Dustin, he is only half way.

Yep, its Kopis fault.

:laugh: It really is past the point of reason. More of an odd curiosity. How long can Brown go?

Is that shots on net or attempted shots? The attempted number must be huge.

I wonder if King will keep up with Brown in scoring this year?

I like McBain, a lot. Ehrhoff should be the odd man out when/if Dean can get a Dman.

He is not top 4 yet, but Pysyk would be a good target IMO. Since bringing in Bogo and Franson Buffalo has a surplus of RJD
 
Its nice to see McBain step up like this and play so well. A pleasant surprise, same with Enroth as well.
 
I had lofty expectations for Enroth when the Kings signed him. I was actually surprised he didn't sign a multi-year deal with someone else. Guy was so solid behind a garbage Buffalo teams.

Hopefully Sutter will be smart enough to rest quick throughout the season more than he has in the past.
 
Can we get some love for Andreoff? He has more goals than half the team (which is sad), stepped up big last night and has 4 fights so far. He has been in the middle of every scrum and his hitting and cycling is prototypical LA Kings hockey. I think he is going to emerge as something more than a 4th liner.

With Dion playing better this year and rumours coming up again about him to la. I was wondering what people thought about a Dion for gaborik and weal trade Would we have to have retention by the leaf and how much before it makes sense? or not at all

The kid gets no love, but from the coach. He looked more noticeable than Weal (Weal having the higher ceiling) yesturday.

Why would the Kings do that deal? Oh, and Eklund doesn't count when it comes to rumors.

to get a defenseman to replace slava long term and then be able to move martinez down to anchor 3rd pairing and heard it from kevin allen not eklund but regardless Its worth discussing imo It would also open a spot for merch or a king return (when healthy )

Leafs wouldn't do that. And DL is (From a couple podcasts from Canada I have heard snippets from over the last week or so) still 'in conversations' with The Leafs for Dion, a player he really likes. Issue seems to be what the Kings want the Leafs to retain in Salary and the player with a 'bad' contract going back to Toronto.

Gabby is too long in the tooth and I think they'd want something higher end in the prospect dept than WEal.

And the Kings weren't the only team 'conversing' about Dion. I think he'll get moved it's just a matter of what the best deal they can get for him. If they agree to eat more of the contract, they'll net a better player coming back.

First off thank you Dee for posting that you heard this as well Maybe now people will at least take it a touch more serious then dismiss it as just Eklund crap. Your word carries a bit more weight in hear then mine.
The only reason i said gabby is he has the highest cap hit on the left side ( which one is going to get traded) With him going not as much cash is needed to be retained.I said Weal as they were scouting him last year at the deadline.

I was just thinking that most hear think we need a another top 4 defenseman and DIon is that no matter what people here think. If you have any other ideas I am open to them
