I think you have too high expectations of prospects at this point. These kids haven't played a single game in the NHL and you expect them to play in the top six soon?

If this team is serious on a cup run they will play the best player available and imo thats not king in top six . Brown will get first shot he play rw or lw with the same effectiveness and yes that more effective then king

I agree that if King is in the top 6 for any extended period of time, the team is not in good shape.

But suggesting that Brown is more effective than King is a reach unless Brown gets back to his old self. The two seasons since King has been on the roster full-time:

2013-2015

King: 28G 28A 56P +15

Brown: 26G 28A 54P -10

Keep in mind Brown has had 220 minutes more on the powerplay than King over that span, and spent a hell of a lot more time on the 2nd line, not to mention the 1st.

I hope Brown bounces back big time this year, but let's not pretend that Brown has been better or more effective than King in any way, shape, or form.

If I have to hear any more about the mythical, never-happened discussion that is Dwight King is a top-sixer, I'm going to put a brick on my gas pedal and kick back in my seat.

Top six, my ass. He is top line, and laughing at Lucic for even thinking that he will take King's spot on the LW with Kopitar and Gaborik.

Brown at plays physical and draws a lot of penalties This is why i would Brown in over King :) that simple. same rough amount of points Brown more valuable because of other intangibles

I think this is funny. How many richard, slava threads has there been with mostly the same stuff. Just because you disagree with my line of thinking I only bring it up or say anything when it pertains to something else that was said. It was asked by Kullino why get lucic I answered If people don't like my post they can ignore me. This is only the third time in a couple of weeks there are a lot other other things repeated over and over Stop that as well I only answer people that quote me.

The mins say it He played the second most mins on lw. The eye test proves he spent most of the year on that 70 line Therefore hes top 6 to me If not who was our top 6 last year :) Put it down for me then

he got the 2nd line spot once Pearson went down. If pearson had not gone down King would have played less minutes 5 on 5 then him.
Biggest forward addition this year is a healthy Pearson IMO

I haven't been able to see any pre-season games but it sure sounds like Ehrhoff is very underwhelming

Actually i think like most king pick ups hes still getting used to the system. Last game however i saw something that was really nice to see a defenseman hitting the net with a shot on a pp I think this will help out pp out a lot.

Never said he didn't and you're probably right his mins would have went down a little However if u look at his mins King was still getting more then Pearson most games before pearson was injured. I can't agree more Pearson and Lucic healthy all year you won't see king in the top 6 as much win win win

my thought when DL signed him was that if he does nothing else but help our PP I will be happy with him.
So that is encouraging to hear

I am disappoint that the Mike Tysonness didn't continue

I am as well as i have always thought if our pp was better there is no stopping this team. We need to pick up scoring somehow and this would be a good way to do it.

So true. And Ehrhoff looks really good there. But can take a normal shift without being a liability, unlike Randy Jo...er, Jamie McBain.

But per Rosen, McBain will be waived today, Schultz to stay with team.

Also, we can have Matt Frattin for free today, too!

Berube also on waivers per Renaud Lavoie. But no sign of O'Neill? Strange. Maybe he's in the next tweet.

Oh, and we could also have Vey or Andrew Campbell!

No mention of Brian O'Neill on waivers today. Either he's made the team or he'll be traded. My guess is the latter but we'll see.
