How good are Larsson's and Brodin's chances to make the team? Real excited for both of them (hopefully) coming over to North America next season.

Brodin might be one of very few who increased his chances in this EHT tournament, many seem to like Larsson but personally I'm not so sure. They both have a chance of making it, it's all up to MÃ¥rts.

Very much 50/50 for both. I think MÃ¥rts really likes them though, and he likes to go young. In Brodin's case it would probably mean being the #7 or #8 D, for Larsson 3rd or 4th line. It would be the right thing for the future to let these guys play with veterans like Alfie, Zetterberg and Kronwall imo.

Assuming we bring 8 D & 14 F to the tournament, 2 defencemen (3 if Erik Karlsson accepts) and 2 forwards will be cut. My cuts would be Fernholm, Ahnelöv, Bång, Zackrisson

Possible line-up:

Jhonas Enroth
Viktor Fasth
Christopher Nihlstorp

Niklas Kronwall - Victor Hedman
Staffan Kronwall (A) - Mattias Ekholm
Jonathan Ericsson - Niklas Hjalmarsson
Jonas Brodin - Jonas Frögren

Johan Franzén - Henrik Zetterberg (C) - Victor Stålberg
Loui Eriksson - Marcus Krûger - Daniel Alfredsson (A)
Gabriel Landeskog - Calle Järnkrok - Jacob Silfverberg
Johan Larsson - Joel Lundqvist - Fredrik Pettersson
Niklas Persson, Jesper Fasth

Would be great to see Bäckström joining the team before the medal round and reuniting the great Olympic line of Eriksson - Bäckström - Alfredsson

Wow, last chance to see Alfie in that pretty yellow jersey? Such a likeable guy, will be sad to watch him being shutout by us. :sarcasm:

Our center line would be no question mark with Henrik on the team. Not sure I want to blame him. Vancouver seems to be in that "we should have won and are inclined to do so next season" mood. Fear rules among management there now. Guess what? Hodgson is long gone. Luckily they might get something for Luongo.

Why did they let Burrows go to the WC?

The team is really shaping up!

The question that remains is how is MÃ¥rts coahing really, and is he getting the best out of his material? The team looked awful in this tournament, and I think a lot of players played under their normal level. I mean I know Niklas Persson for example, can play hockey and is knowned to be a smart player with hockey sense, and he just looked absolutely worthless and made tons of stupid plays theese last few games. They all looked very out of synch with very little chemistry.

When so many players underperform at once, you might think there is something wrong with the coaching and the team spirit.
