**** you Henrik Sedin. Piece of ****. You were healthy the entire year+playoffs and now all of a sudden you're too injured to play? Tell the ****ing truth, that you don't want to play.

I understand you Daniel, though.

I never want to see these two in the national team again. Definitely not in the 2014 olympics. Always terrible there anyways. Chokers.

Blame Vancouver's GM.

We are in real need of another center right now. Imagine if WSH gets beaten and Backs is coming, the top six is going to be deadly!

Captain of a canadian Presidents Trophy winner, knocked out in the first round. With displeased fans and a management that´s cornered into making some big moves. Add your employer has said they don´t want you to go because of minor injuries (and the situation at hand...).

I have no problem understanding why he´s not going.

Add that acording to at least one of the swedish interviews Canucks managment had made contact with Garpenlov and said that Sedins wouldn´t play even before Canucks management had their meeting with the Sedins. The decision is obviously from the top.

I would have loved to see Henrik in the WC, but rather take a player whos not got his head somewhere else. And his welcomed in my olympic team any day.

So are concussions contagious now? Daniel. No hard feelings and no hard feelings to the GM for stopping him. Henrik. Eat ****.

**** that. He could have just been honest and said "No, I don't want to play for Team Sweden in a useless tournament" or something. I will never forget this. **** you Henrik. In my eyes, you're never welcome again. I'll never forgive this little choker. ****ing win something already. You're USELESS.

Or you know, he could have beent honest and said that management told him not to go. Or thats what he did. Also adding: "if available next year we hope to get the call...".

Never will understand this desperation in wanting players that obviously are beaten up or have their head elsewhere. Take the hungry ones who is screaming for their tickets. Lidström is one other who always (when not going deep into the playoffs...) got **** for this. Until his 06-goal in the olympics that is. Then people somewhat forget all the **** they had said...

Well atleast he isn't taking another players roster spot, instantly raising our chances to win by about 225%

"The management told him not to go"

PLEASE. He chose the easy way out. If he wanted to go, he'd go. Instead, he chose to be the coward that he is, and say "oh, no, I really wanna go! But I can't! Vancouver won't let me! Darn it!"

He even said before the season started that he'd go if the Canucks was eliminated early. ****ing liar. No spine in that guy. Must be why he always chokes.

Sedins decline. I hope Marts have the guts to decline them for Olympics 2014. Rather see someone play with pride then someone who only plays for money. (Sedins played only one WC in seven years, the lookout season)

Judging from this article it seems Vancouvers management said no on behalf of the Sedins and then informed the Sedins.

Perhaps it's just something they agreed on telling the media so Henrik wouldn't be criticized for saying no despite being healthy.

Actually the easy way out probably is leaving Vancouver as soon as possible - not staying taking the heat, explaining what went wrong and be an active solution in fixing the team. Easy way is to go and play for your country in the WC in your homecountry, instead of getting **** also there...

I just don't get it, I can understand that Daniel not coming after the concussion but Henrik would be hungry for some success for a change, and have a chance to do it in front of a home crowd in his home country. This could be his chance to show the masses here what kind of superstar he really is.

Please. If Henrik wanted to go, he'd go. He's not injured. I don't think he has a scratch on him, actually.

Now i dont understand, according to NHL.com Henrik Sedins decides on Friday.

Vancouver forward Daniel Sedin declined to join Sweden's entry. Sedin missed the end of the regular season and start of the Canucks' first-round series with Los Angeles because of a concussion. His twin brother, Henrik, said he would decide Friday if he is going to play in the tournament or not.
