Am I the only one who feels that this could turn out to be a major fiasco? Imagine if all of those guys said yes and we'd end up not winning the gold. On home ice nonetheless. :help:

A top 6 consisting of Sedins, Eriksson, Zetterberg, Landeskog and Franzén is basically olympic quality, not quite, but almost.

I'd feel more comfortable with a young, unproven squad with few nhlers. What if the fins were to beat us again this time, it would truly be a big blow to my hockey pride at least.

Meh. I'm sure the media would spin it that way but Finland, Canada and Russia will have really good teams too. And any possible game against Finland will be played in Finland.

Gustav Nyquist not invited? I am disappoint.

They have to wait out the first round.. Imagine all of Sedins, Backstrom, MoJo, Stalberg, Kruger and one of Hagelin/Silfverberg at disposal. You have to think the scoring roles would be pretty filled.

Wow, our Offense is looking pretty stacked in comparison to the D. I don't expect the Sedins to come, but it would be really nice to have Edler in the squad.

He's building a house.

Märrd. OK, regrouping means waiting for OEL or Karlsson.

Landeskog - Järnkrok - Silfverberg
Ericsson - Lundqvist - Pettersson

Krüger/Larsson/Persson/Samuelsson

Ekman-Larsson/Karlsson - Hedman
Ekholm - Ericsson
Hjalmarsson - Kronwall
Murray/Karlsson M - Edler/Oduya

Shocked that Zetterberg accepted the invitation. Thought for sure that he would decline. Sedins will more than likely decline due to Daniels concussion, and I don't think Hank would go without his brother. King Henrik would be great for goaltending, but I can't see the Rangers getting knocked out by the Sens, even though I'm hoping for the Sens.

Awesome with Zetterberg and Franzén. Hopefully Franzén wont just float around and do nothing..

We'll have a pretty good team this WC though, just need some reinforcements for the D from NHL.

Franzén, did not see that coming!:handclap: What I feel right now is that we are in need of another C and a few D's. On D I really hope Edler will come and soon will OEL or Hjalmarsson and Oduya be available and Strålman or Karlsson too. So with that said I believe the defense is going to be very good.

Wow, this is going to be so fun tournament to watch!:yo:

I see no reason for Henrik not to come and I see no reason for Daniel to come; Vancouver will probably not let him anyway. There is no reason to lump them together.

I hope both PÃ¥hlsson and Edler can come. I do not think anyone them are injured and I can not see Vancouver stopping them. In fact they should encourage Edler to go in order to let him grow some confidence after a bad series.

So nice to see big names like Franzén and especially Zetterberg wanting to play the WC's. I'm sure it means a lot to the younger players on the team to get a chance to play with guys like this and it raises the profile of the competition back home and for the players. Getting asked to play for Tre Kronor should be an honor, not a nuisance involving bad press and a threat to the golf holiday plans.

Amazing, Swedish NHLers accepting an invitation to the tournament?! Pigs are flying, although it has all to do with the tournament being played in Sweden.

Interesting thought about only Henrik Sedin coming to play. I don't think MÃ¥rts needs PÃ¥hlsson though
