Would have to say Backstrom. He was back well in time for the playoffs, I think that's an issue of the past now. But Washington looks strong. I don't expect any of those.

H.Sedin and Franzen would be cool because that means we could ice a legit top6. I'm not keeping my hopes up about it but:
Landeskog-Sedin-Eriksson
Franzen-Zetterberg-Hagelin/Silfverberg

I'm just worried that the NHL club says no in a week or so and that the player would be perfectly fine in say, three weeks. Yes, our top lines look better and better for each day even though we have som concussion issues.

PS. Can Järnkrok survive on this team without Silfverberg? Or is Johan Larsson a better choice for a checking line??

Hagelin is the real deal imo compared to Stålberg and Nyquist etc.

I would love to see Murray, but I believe MÃ¥rts maybe thinks he's not suited for big ice. But in time we will see I guess.

Both Murray and Ericsson sounds like overkill to me, but it depends on what happens in the series that are left and what players that want to come.

How come Ericsson is done deal but not Z? No medical for Ericsson eh?

If we don't get ahead of ourselves too much I guess the team right now would be something like:
Landeskog-Zetterberg-Eriksson
Jarnkrok-Persson-Omark
Andersson-Larsson-Zackrisson
Harju-Lundqvist-Pettersson

Hedman-Ericsson
S.Kronwall-Ekholm
Frogren-Fernholm

Shaping up, in other words. Already better than last year.

Like the look of that team. Maybe I would spread the wealth a bit, although that first line would be incredible for a Swedish WC team. Getting Zetterberg, who looked great in the playoffs, would obviously be huge. Let's hope that no imaginary injury rears it's ugly head..

Feeling a lot more optimistic and excited about the tournament now than I did a couple of days ago. And to think that so many of our best players could still get knocked out of the first round.. Still, from experience we've all learnt not to get too excited with regards to Swedish NHL players and WC participation..

Feels like the team still misses a true PP wiz at the backend. Karlsson would be the perfect addition. Edler would be very welcome as well. Damn you Enström for declining

I think this is actually a realistic team. Would definitively be one of the favorites for the gold:

Goalies:
Henrik Lundqvist
Jhonas Enroth
Viktor Fasth

Defensemen:
Niklas Kronwall - Alexander Edler
Anton Strålman - Victor Hedman
Douglas Murray - Jonathan Ericsson
Mattias Ekholm - Staffan Kronwall

Forwards:
Gabriel Landeskog - Henrik Zetterberg - Loui Eriksson
Carl Hagelin - Marcus Krüger - Victor Stålberg
Linus Omark - Calle Järnkrok - Jonas Andersson
Niklas Persson - Joel Lundqvist - Fredrik Pettersson
Jesper Fasth, Johan Larsson

Strålman would be the shocker on this team, but we lack really good offensive defensemen and Strålman has performed on the NT before.

I think both Sedins will decline. Daniel because of his concussion and Henrik because I don't think the Sedins really enjoy playing for the NT (they have declined invites before without any obvious reason).

If Murray is invited and accepts, I see no reason to invite Hjalmarsson or Oduya, we will have enough shutdown D-men on the team.

I have a nagging feeling Franzén will decline, so I left him off.

I'm trying to decide if I rather want NY or Ottawa to lose. Lundqvist, Hagelin and Strålman are all hot players, but I'm extremely curious as to what EK could accomplish on the big ice surface.

Silfverberg and Karlsson i am 100% certain that they will show up.
Alfredsson will not be allowed by Ottawa.

Hagelin and Strålman im certain that one of them at least will show up.
Lundqvist im not that coure because he will be very disapointed.
