Contract will eventually become an albatross whether it's 9M, 10M, or 11M. But that shouldn't be a deterrent. This is a win now team, with a chance to fill their most glaring need. By the time that contract becomes an albatross, they will be in a rebuild anyway. Hopefully after a parade or two.The question is at what point (cost) does it become better to lose this fight? The Devils have much more money. Is this JT all over again (from a pure hockey standpoint, not with the other treasonous issues)? Does this contract become an albatross?
Win me a cup and I don't care about any albatross contract. JG is exactly what they need and could put them in serious runningThe question is at what point (cost) does it become better to lose this fight? The Devils have much more money. Ray Ferraro saying the same. Says the Devils are too small already.
Why not the other way around? People are talking like NJ is the best place on earth. Why is that? I’ve been to Newark; I rather live in one of the Swedish ghettos.Sounds like we are being used .....again. I've lived in NJ the past 25 years and been an Islanders fan my whole life and I can't see playing for the NJD. It is such a sterile , boring hockey environment. NJ is nice and is much closer to Philly than LI, but from a hockey standpoint, NJ has no juice.
Wondering if the Soprano crew has any pull in Gaudreau "choosing" NJ.
He can just go hang out around the paddock and will feel like a giant.Maybe the devils being small will make Gudreau feel bigger? Think about it.
Wonder if Gaudreau loves museumsDougie Hamilton was Gudreaus teammate in CGY. He could sell him.
