I feel like I've been here before...Pagnotta just said on NHL Network that it is leaning towards NJ unless the Isles step up with more $$
Lou walks in, puts his arm around Johnny and says you want to win, kiss the ring. Shows his 3 Cup rings.Did the presentation include all the helicopter companies that can quickly and effectively transport him to southern Jersey in a flash?
oh hmmm...where have i heard that one before....oh right, with Panarin right before he squeezed another half mil from the Rags and signed for less.Pagnotta just said on NHL Network that it is leaning towards NJ unless the Isles step up with more $$
Sounds like Lou came in around $9.x M AAV, and the Devils are at $10M-ish AAV. But if true, sounds like the JG camp is giving the Isles a chance to up their offer?

Outside of us folks here, does the Island? What's the perception of the Islanders to outsiders? I have a feeling we're a big nothing to the rest of the hockey world.Sounds like we are being used .....again. I've lived in NJ the past 25 years and been an Islanders fan my whole life and I can't see playing for the NJD. It is such a sterile , boring hockey environment. NJ is nice and is much closer to Philly than LI, but from a hockey standpoint, NJ has no juice.
Hradek saying the Isles are a better fit.
The insane energy of the crowd in the 2019 and 2021 playoffs and new arena, plus the winning in 2020 and 2021 changed the dynamic some.Outside of us folks here, does the Island? i mean it sounds like hes making a decision based on something other than 'the best fit', but sure that's nice...Guys on NHL network seem to believe the Islanders are a way better fit for Gudreau than NJ. Not that their opinion means anything but maybe Gudreau and his camp possibly feel the same?
