I was going to say I feel like Mikheyev is a Lou type of guy. It’s a gamble because he doesn’t have a king track record but he was really good last year. He falls in line with the Pageau and Palmieri acquisitions

I gotta admit, I like the Trochek signing for the Rangers in the immediate to mid-term. Takes the best parts of both Strome and Copp (even a little of Kadri) into their lineup. Smart fit.

7 years for Trochek is too much- I don’t rate him that highly - I see him as another strome. Copp plays a bigger game - would have been a better signing

So the Rags should be done, other than a backup goalie and looking for a middling, top-six defenseman.

And, at least right now, next year they project have 8-12 spots to fill and under $18 million in cap space.

Of course someone always comes along to help them out, but Drury has a bunch of tough choices to make on the roster, RFAs, etc.

Sounds like they're going after Halak for the backup spot.

It would show us whether Lou was going for it again-shoot the was on 1 year, or looking towards the future. I don't think Lou's looking ahead.

I don't even understand why he has a deeper connection to Jersey than to us.

He is from South Jersey which is pretty much Philly. And he wasn't a Devils fan as a kid.

What am I missing? That Newark is slightly closer to Philly than Belmont?
