That LHD group should have been addressed the instant it was determined that Bahl would be gone for a bit. Hanley, Bean, and Barrie is not an NHL-calibre left side. How much worse would Solo and Poirier really be ffs?

Poirier is a hot mess himself but at least he can skate. Solovyov has everything you want to be a quality #5.
Another guy they should look at his Kuznetsov. These players should be getting looks on a rebuilding team prioritizing youth.

Well I get that Huska was likely hoping Miro would take another step towards logging some serious minutes as a sort of Hanny-lite, but it never happened. So right off the bat, you go from what seems like a decent corps on paper with Bahl-Raz, Weegar-Miro, and one of the three stooges with Patches, but instead we get Hanley, Curly, and Mo comprising the entire left side. And while I do appreciate how patient Huska is with his guys, I feel like he needs to hold them more accountable. But Conny has to put them in a position to shit or get off the pot. That’s the entire premise behind why he made the deal for Frost and Farabee, when he should have addressed that D weeks ago, even if only to call up Solo and Poirier, and perhaps even Kuz.
