Its hard for me to believe NJD did not offer 10-11 a year off the bat...if they did we cannot come close to that
Yes we can.

Beau has a $4.5M cap
Bailey has $5M
Varly has $5M
Romanov won't make more than $2M
Dobson could be signed to a cheaper short term bridge
Worst comes to worst, we can attach a 2023 first to trade Palmieri.

There are options

We can if Lou wants. Then Lou could offer 11.5 and that’s when Gudreau goes back to NJ and asks if they can best that offer. That’s how you create a bidding war to drive up the price. It’s a business.
There was a guy on Ebay, must have been a doctor or lawyer- he and I always wanted the same stuff. He put a big offer in at the start of the auction and never looked back. I eventually figured out how much he was bidding and I'd bid him up several hundred quite frequently.

That’s an overpay by the Rangers that guy has basically followed the Turgeon career trajectory post check by Hunter the last few years can’t even remember the last time he had 60 points

I gotta admit, I like the Trochek signing for the Rangers in the immediate to mid-term. Takes the best parts of both Strome and Copp (even a little of Kadri) into their lineup. Smart fit.

So the Rags should be done, other than a backup goalie and looking for a middling, top-six defenseman.

And, at least right now, next year they project have 8-12 spots to fill and under $18 million in cap space.

Of course someone always comes along to help them out, but Drury has a bunch of tough choices to make on the roster, RFAs, etc.
