Since people barely check the UBS thread these days I hope everyone will forgive me for putting this here, but could use some help.

Going to the Leafs game this Tuesday. A few questions about parking....

• I see on the UBS website that Emerald parking is free for BMW owners (but is "limited"). I lease a BMW so I assume that still applies, but anyone have any experience with this?
• Can anyone show up to the Belmont Park Garage and pay for parking there or is that only for season ticket holders?
• Anyone have a lead on how to get a parking pass on any of the VIP lots closer to the arena?

I kind of enjoy the walk (never gone when it was raining, so there's that) from the arena to the emerald lot. Kind of reminds me of the walk from Shea to the 7 train after a Mets game (I went a lot in the Shea days, but not so much afterward.), but not nearly as ugly. Walking around the dirt track is kind of cool, and will only get cooler into the spring. (I'm not into horse racing, but tracks are picturesque/genteel).

$42 or something like that each time. Not cheap, but very easy access to the arena, so you can be one of the first out to go home

So it was that middle-ish 30 game stretch that was the issue.

Very specifically the ~20 games when Pelech was out.

I know they may not be 'Lou types,' but adding Tolvanan or Vrana for free would've helped give this team additional firepower. This is without knowing their contract statuses, so don't shoot me.

Brock Nelson has cooled off. 2 goals in his last 9 games. With Horvat also having cooled off we will need more of that secondary scoring. Good on Engvall for not letting early benchings affect him, but it's not enough. Either our bottom 6 and defensemen find the back of the net more often or Horvat/Nelson/Lee/Palmieri/Dobson must start scoring in bunches. As they go, so go the Islanders.

Agree, the key to making the playoffs will be winning the majority of their games and I would rate their schedule as very difficult. If the top two lines don’t put up some numbers the Isles will not make the playoffs. Simple as that.

I like Bolduc. I think he has a real future with the Isles. I just hope Lambert will be patient with him if he plays him tomorrow. Going against the Leafs is a tough spot and pairing with Dobson could be a defensive nightmare.

Islanders have developed some roster issues with Engval, Parise and Fasching all playing very well. Add those guys to the list of players they need to - at least consider - sign. Not sure how you can move away from Parise with how he's playing right now. Engvall also seems like a relatively low cost contributor.

Even if we somehow dump Bailey, doesn't seem like there's room for Fasching in the lineup if we were to re-sign Engval and Parise. Unless Wahlstrom isn't ready to play come start of next season or needs to earn his roster spot back again....

I guess good problems to have.

That very well may happen but he's still young and has upside. We don't have many of those guys in our system.

What would we get for him? A 3rd rounder....maybe?

Oh, I wouldn't trade him for a 3rd rounder. If he's traded he needs to be a package for something better or to move Bailey so they can sign someone better.
