What about provorov, rumors are he is available would flyers trade him to divisional rival? Seems like interesting option to pair with Romanov.
The Rangers have every conceivable advantage you can have as an organization and they have four Stanley cups in almost a century… How is that possible?
Facial Recognition Jimmy is getting sued by Radio City Staff now....Maybe he'll sell his enterpriseHave you seen the Knicks the last 20 years? Same guy owns them.
We can’t get away from this guy…..
How many goals for him tomorrow?
I wish we could pin the Isles current cap space for next season AND the remaining roster spots at the top of every page on this thread. Maybe then we could avoid people throwing out names to trade for without reading up on the Isles cap situation. What about provorov, rumors are he is available would flyers trade him to divisional rival? In a word: No.
I’m well aware of cap situation, I think isles are going to move Pageau and it’s been talked about flyers retaining money to move him. He is type of hybrid defender we lack. I’d personally rather have him at say 5 per if flyers retain than mayfield at 4 per that’s been talked about.I wish we could pin the Isles current cap space for next season AND the remaining roster spots at the top of every page on this thread. Isles Rangers is the most overhyped and tired rivalry in sports.I could give a flying f*** what NYR do. I really don't. The rivalry has been dead for years. As I said, once they meet in the playoffs, then I'll care.

Victor Ostman from the University of Maine. From: Pronman: Top college, CHL and European free agents for NHL teams
5. Victor Ostman, G, Maine-Hockey East: Ostman has been a top goaltender in college this season for Maine. The junior netminder has a highly intriguing toolkit at 6-4 and possesses good athleticism to make tough saves. When he’s on his game and making good reads/decisions with his natural ability, he can look like a pro goalie. I find his reads and puck tracking can be somewhat inconsistent but I think there’s a lot of talent to bet on with Ostman.

14. Cooper Black, G, Dartmouth-ECAC: Black, a freshman at Dartmouth stands out instantly due to his frame. He’s listed at 6-foot-8 but some team sources think he’s closer to 6-foot-9. His technique is rather smooth given that large frame and he shows good hockey sense in net. Not surprisingly, his lower half is a little heavy and how quickly he can move will be his main challenge for the pro game, but Black still moves fairly well for a guy his size. He has a shot to make the NHL, presuming he decides to sign this year which I don’t think is likely.

I don't see any of that happening.I’m well aware of cap situation, I think isles are going to move Pageau and it’s been talked about flyers retaining money to move him. I guess it depends on Varly's comfort level . Does he take 2.0 x 2 years to stay put or does he take several one year to two year contracts to be the safety net to someones 1a or young goalie that needs insulation .If Lou can sign Mayfield for something in the neighborhood of $4M X 4 years I’d be ok with it.
It’s resigning Varly that worries me. His play has the potential to fall off a cliff. I’m not particularly worried about that with Mayfield.
I also completely agree that if the Isles are to excel they need to ride Sorokin like a rented mule. Varly is an unnecessary luxury on a team that needs to be very careful with their cap situation (like everyone I suppose).
I think that could happen. Speaks volumes on the state of this franchise, Lou has spent most of the Isles capital with the team being no better or worse than before yet still never a lock to make the playoffs despite exceptional goaltending. Hopefully we see the new GM here shortlyHa ha!
I think the deadline will be fairly quiet for us. Lou's not gonna sell and he hasn't got the tools to make another big trade. If he can pick up a depth dman or forward at reasonable cost (3rd or lower) he might get one or two in, but that's all we can afford at the moment. Even if that ice cream van looks mighty tempting, you can be sure those rainy days are never far off!
Seeing Nino signed for a reasonable short term deal and then flipped for a second round pick looks like smart asset management for the Preds. If Neiderreitter for a second is at all a market setter… Max Domi should be a similar cost. No?
He was a former line-mate of Bo Horvat on the OHL London Knights. So hopefully they can develop some quick chemistry with what’s left of the season.
He has no contact for next year and is young enough that he can be extended if things work out.
