He likes to create fake hate to get views, that's his schtick. Buffalo is way more "exciting" to watch than the Islanders because they can put up a million goals. They also can let up a million goals.
By attractive I mean, Lou has enough space to do something independent- he doesn’t need to move players or get a third team or whatever like most other teams will have to do for a larger contract.
Karlsson is having an awesome season. That contract is a huge risk. However, I can’t see a lot of prospect and pick value in that deal. SJ (and Karlsson) are stuck on a team that wants to rebuild and a player that will want to be on a contender. SJ just needs to get out from under that contract no matter the assets they get back.
I’ll let it play out and I think Lou has another 2 players coming. I’ll standby trading Beau was for Vancouver to help sell the trade, but also a message from Lou to Barzal on his performance, beyond acquiring Horvat as the talent addition.

Probably multi layers to it. I'm in the camp of keeping Mayfield. I count Palmieri being back healthy as a move. One more scorer type wouldn't hurt but I'm nervous about the D. In crunch time, not sure about Aho is our own zone, Romanov can be up and down, Bolduc is a rook and Dobson can be a liability. With Horvat on board, I think shoring up the backline AND keeping Mayfield and Varly may just get us there
Pens and Caps can both be had. I'd feel better with Barry than the handsome one behind the bench but I'm not ready to jump off the roof yet.....check with me tomorrow though because I can be mercurial that way!
If Vancouver didn't retain any salary, the cap space would be about 10 mil. With the retention it's 11.3 mil. I can't believe Lou thought 10 mil wasn't enough. I don't know if it gets done, but that retention is for Kane, or Tarasenko and someone else...
Did he call it though? I'd like to see the actual piece where he mentioned it, because it sounds like to me he threw us in with other teams to increase his odds of being right. I honestly don't know. I don't do Twitter so I don't know what he actually said.
Did anybody see this? No idea about the website, but even more concerning...why would Canucks fans care if there was tampering? If anything, they should be mad at their GM for not allowing them to get the best possible return. If the front office didn't allow teams to talk to Horvat's agent, they are absolute tools.
Edit: To be clear, I'm not worried about this and the headline is click bait imo. I was just more surprised that Canucks fans are actually complaining about this on Twitter, lol.

I’m convinced that media types often spout crap about the Isles only to get their small but loud fanbase to attack them. Essentially what Bissonette just said in his quote. The back and forth makes for good social media PR.
