The Debrincat trade, their glaring roster holes, and their loot of picks over the next three years all point towards a rebuild. Seems like they are just making the moves to set the table for Kane and maybe Toews to waive.

I assume they would love to trade Kane and Toews at this point, but those two seem very content with their lifestyle in Chicago.

If I had to guess, I think Kane might waive if things get bad enough but, and I could be proven wrong, I just have a feeling that Toews will either run out the string in Chicago or eventually end up on LTIR, get bought out, etc.

Chychrun is still out there. After all, Lou did say this...maybe he was talking about a guy that could do both?

I can see Toews moving at the trade deadline with retention to Colorado… if they haven’t filled their second line center spot by then.

At this point i would be shocked if Gaudreau and Forsberg dont hit the market.
huh?

Last report had 1/2 million apart on negotiating with Filip and Flames fully committed to close gap with Johnny G.....not looking promising at all

Based on what exactly?

It's July 7, and both are unsigned as far as I know. Seems kinda likely to me that both make it.
Nah, that is just negotiating and both have been doing it for awhile. I don't feel confident either will be there come the 13th

Chychrun absolutely scares me based on their supposed asking price.

Debrincat just went for a 1st (7 OA), a 2nd and a future 3rd

Fiala went for a 1st (19 OA) and a good prospect

Arizona reportedly is wanting both of those packages combined...

We heard the same stuff with Tavares. If they wanted to stay they would likely have signed by now.

Honestly I'm kinda at a breaking point. Basically if we don't get someone like Chychrun, Kane, Forsberg, or Tarasenko then tired of going to bat with an average lineup (and no a lesser coach) and would rather start selling pieces to recoup assets and cap space.

They are delusional with their asks.

Well since they literally don't have to trade Chychryn they can ask for the moon...And just maybe someone bites and they get the kind of return the Avs did for Duchene.
