Hope this Kadri chatter actually comes to fruition. He upgrades the forward skill, satisfying a need (and prevents me from bitching). It's a small window to compete, but he fits it. He's creative, competes, and skilled in many domains. I wonder if he'd mesh with Barzal.
I begrudgingly agree with this.

I think I would have taken the team in a different diction than Lou, but based on the direction he HAS taken us... Kadri does seem like a nice add for the next 2-4 years.

Just passing along info, I don’t believe it. I think he’s going back to Colorado, but again just passing along info.
I didn’t mean to shoot the messenger. No offense.

I’m a pacifist by nature unless you’re a scum sucking Neanderthal Rags fan. Sorry to be redundant.

I bet he’s right. In fact, I’m certain of it but I’m not completely sure.

Of course this could happen… or not. Why legitimize this nobody?
I feel like I’ve seen this guy tweet rumors before but I can’t recall who it was about. Anyway swell to be entering August and we’re still hearing “just have to clear cap and then it’s happening!” The longer this goes, the more I wonder if Kadri’s going to get Klingberged.

I’ll take the other side.

Another move by Lou which makes the Isles marginally better while mortgaging the future in the form of opportunity costs.

If and when it happens I’ll put on a happy face and root for him next year and hold my breath until later when he goes LTIR or becomes our future version of an aging Andrew Ladd.

Whatever team it is, he must have the deal in place or his agent would be promoting him, we would hear that negotiations are happening or even failed with some teams. Instead we hear nothing. So it must be about cap space. I think this team needs some spark seriously bad. If not him then someone else with similar energy to his game.

Don't hate it.

These days I go for the simple cheese or a well made Sicilian pie with some ice cold Coca-Cola

Miss the pizza in Bensonhurst and Bay Ridge!
Spumoni Gardens square slice ..mmmm.
Still trying to get to DiFara

Currently working in SOHO NYC. Prince Pizza corner of Mott and Prince has outstanding spicey square with the little curl up pepperonis . Always a line out the door but moves fast. It’s set up exactly like soup nazi Seinfeld episode. Except after you order you step right instead of left.

Also like Rocky’s Pizza 2nd Ave and 33rd street.Manhattan

Who is Hagens?
Michael Hagens. Very good skater. Dman. Also spent a lot of time at forward growing up. Dad coached the LI royals and north Michael and Tanner Adams since they both began playing.

My son played on a line w Tanner and Michael w the CT Jr Rangers. They cleaned up points-wise.

Will be interesting to see what becomes of either. Both posted to play college hockey. Will be cheering both on beyond that.

Spumoni Garden is awesome!!

Grew up in Bensonhurst. Would walk to Davinci's on 18th Ave and 65th st from 61st st and 23rd ave. A&L on 18th and 61st was good too but no comparison to DaVinci

When I lived in Bay Ridge, Vesuvio on 73rd and 3rd was my place. GREAT scungili marinara!!

Worked on 55th and 3rd in NYC. We'd go to Ray Bari across the street. It was good but I felt a tad overrated
