I'll also say that while I think there has been a ton of focus on moving Brock to the top line, another huge change was the shifts in the defensive pairings. It's been said a ton of times that Roy is an analytics guy and we happen to have two under-the-radar analytical darlings in Aho and Reilly who he has chosen to play together - that has produced more analytic darling results in limited minutes.

He also broke up Pulock and Pelech which seems to have had massive implications - they seem to be thriving away from each other at this point. A full extra goal and a half per 60 from 2 players you're playing 20 minutes a night is a HUGE change. Also, Dobson is such an alpha that he has produced about the same regardless of who he's paired with. If a team came knocking for Pelech in the offseason you could make an argument for playing Bolduc in that spot and spending the $$$ on extra offense. And if you're not going to trade Pelech, there's a reason to deal Bolduc now that it looks like Reilly is going to stick.
And lastly... Mayfield. What to do about Mayfield. He's probably playing injured, but again referencing Roy's analytical preferences (and the eye test), it's hard to justify playing him over Aho when he's healthy, playoffs or not. It would be weird to move a guy you just signed to a 7 year deal but it's likely that our money is better spent elsewhere, especially if there's only 16-ish minutes a night available for him behind. All things to think about as we approach the deadline...
