Our ability to extend an elite player we trade for is about as good as Elon's ability to get a Starship spacecraft into orbit in 2025
I don't get comment that except he seems to be a target for segment of the population these days due to politics.

Musk is America's best entrepreneur of our generation.

Thus, although I don't agree with his intrusion in politics, I don't take shots at a guy that has built several revolutionary businesses successfully; plus, he has figured out how to land a spacecraft on a pad versus NASA and the rest of the world which could not.

Can't be afraid to achieve success and you must accept the fact that sometimes you will surely fail on that path to success.

If Week's report is right and Carolina went upwards of 13-14 million then that's not discount with Finns that's screw you I don't want to be here.
Plus dallas & Denver too.

Like I said earlier, its either some other team has whispered (cough Toronto or NY) that we will have cap space in the off season and we agree to your requested amounts or he is just unsure and wants the off season to weigh bids/lifestyle.

I select 1.

I’m f***ing tired of defending this guy who’s handled pucks and played passes to a Brett Bellemore level basically the entire time he’s been here. I’m not letting the FO off free in this mess that has now spanned two f***ing seasons and will require another shot next year, but giving this guy 14M right now annually until 2034 is f***ing asinine.

Have we considered he's actually the victim in all this?

I'm just throwing darts to see what gets the most traction.
You joke but that's why I brought up the Freddie Freeman example. It would hardly be the first time an agent has flat out lied to their client to get them to the agents desired destination.

f*** we've seen this in this franchises own f***ing history. Kevin Weekes only ended up in New York and New Jersey because his agent flat out didn't f***ing tell him we offered a contract both times.

So Dreger says Dallas has offered 12 million and won’t go any further and Rantanen camp wants 13 so I guess this isn’t gonna happen unless one of them budges

Arliss is a great comedy show to watch (re-runs are on Max) re: how agents can be unethical

btw: I hope Tulsky/Borg are juggling multiple other deals to improve the roster.
Difficulty is they need some sort of closure on Rantanen for a couple of reasons:
1) What kind of cap do they have available to make moves?
2) What assets do they have for follow-up moves (are they flipping some of the Rantanen package for something else)?

They really need to get closure on Rantanen one way or the other to finish up other moves.

Before 3pm? 2h45min? I'm sure its happened. but... Not with a guy like rantanen who just refuses to decide.
