I think that ship has sailed I’d be surprised if Dundon even had that offer on the table anymore it’s pretty clear they want him gone now they’ve gone this far

I mean considering what Colorado, Dallas, and Tampa have already been able to do despite this situation that would be a huge "task failed successfully"

This guy is 100pct going UFA. He’s doing this stuff today to play it up and see if some knucklehead org will pony up what he’s asking now, which no one is going to. He’s really betting on himself at this point which imo isn’t very smart because it isn’t going very swimmingly. Plus the fact that he wouldn’t even come to the table with us had to rub everyone the wrong way. All that stuff about mulling it over was bologna. I watch this dude quit on so many pucks last night. Pathetic. Cut your losses Canes. This guy is a gold digger period.

My expectation is that the Canes will probably hold onto him. No way are they going to get Vanek-ed on a return, as some are fantasizing. It's not as if the Canes are not one of the top contenders this year. We're entering the off-season with a boatload of cap space with no major RFAs to sign and can basically pay Rantanen the moon if they want to.

$12.5 *.96 (less state tax cost in Carolina next year) = $12M

Well if you have a decision maker who could be on the spectrum or have asperges this might not have occurred to them.

I like hockey-reference, but they seem to never update positions post- someone's draft. for example, they still list necas and jarvis as C's. i vaguely remember them having skinner listed as a C forever, but might be mixing him up with someone else.

After this player fiasco, you have to have a lot more respect for Necas. He played hard despite not feeling his talent was best utilized in RBA's system (just made some bonehead passes, etc.).

This guy is a lazy arse & not professional at all. Quite frankly, this is a big miss by the Borg in selecting MR not knowing his psychological profile as described by Avs folks that knew him.

btw: Dundon said his only owner friend in the NHL (not many outside of it either) is Dallas' owner. I suspect their get togethers will be strained going forward.

Step 1: Ship his ass there for Laf
Step 2: Acquire Zadorov
Step 3: Acquire Crosby
Step 4: tell Zadorov to Trouba the lil turd
Step 5: defeat Rongos
Step 6: win cup.

We all know Rongos cannot resist this type.

Why? It's not on them that rantanen is such a bitch. If this drags out past 3pm i hope he ends up in SJ.
