Well, for starters, the owners of sports teams are guaranteed billionaires.

It would certainly be a nice gesture... but I agree that we shouldn’t be telling people how to spend their money. MANY are out of work/pay and are employed by very wealthy people. Why do sports franchises have a different expectation?

Kakko: disappointing but not yet concerning. Lias: bust. Kravtsov: reportedly doing fine in AHL.
 
SO at F next year do we see only Kravtsov and Barron as shots to make it at F?

Draft forwards in 1st round w the depth in G and D?

Lias could make it but he left so a trade more likely
 
Lias seems to have done decently point wise after a little slow start. Wouldn't mind seeing him back honestly.

Lias is the same age as Morgan Barron. If he had gone the Granlund route, stayed in Europe for 3 full seasons and came over this summer, every Ranger fan would be ecstatic.

I wonder what will happen this summer. He's under contract, so unless they trade/loan him, the only way he isn't in NY or Hartford is if they terminate his contract. I don't see that happening.

I think a conversation needs to be had to talk about what happened and for both parties to leave it behind.

If the foot thing is resolved, and he can be convinced Quinn will give him an actual chance rather than just burying him on the 4th line, I think he'll be back. If Gorton/JD can't convince him of the latter fact, I don't think he will

Kakko. Flashes of brilliance intermixed with flashes of stupidity. In short an 18 to 19 year old learning the NHL.

Kravtsov. Disappointing...but not unexpected. He needs to unlearn some bad habits.

Lias. Bustville for a while now. Nothing's changed.

Lias needs more than just his foot thing to be resolved to be an nhler. He's still a ways away IMHO.
 
I’m not that worried about Kakko. We spent months being beat over the head about only generational talents are found 1/2nd OA. We will never get there without that guy. We won the lotto, knew we had Kakko who was heralded as that guy, and expected greatness from day 1. Nearly every person on here fell into this on some level.

almost as productive as "hey if this thing that didn't happen, was probably never realistically in the cards, and probably wouldn't have addressed to core issues Lias faced happened we'd all be thrilled!!!"

I dont feel Kakko is disappointing at all considering he is 18 and not 23. Barkov scored 8 goals in 54 games in his rookie season. I'm not concerned unless he has a few 10 goal seasons in a row

Barron would also skate circles around Lias. I understand your Lias’ biggest fan, but i seriously dont understand how you watch him and believe he has any success in NA.

Look at the way Barron is trending, look at the way LA is trending. One is taking huge steps each season, the other has stayed stagnant in his development or even regressed somewhat. You are seriously going to sit there and say you still take LA over Barron? Lias has a piano attached to his back and skates in quick sand. In all honesty, he is probably a below average D1 skater.
