It's not NYC, but it doesn't close at 10, that's an absolutely absurd statement to make.

There's a freakin CASINO in the arena. You know Kane has a huge gambling problem right?
Yea, among other things... I doubt he’d be dumb enough to be seen caught playing there though, trying to keep up/repair his image

I hate shootouts..... even on a back to back this is one of those games that should have been won.
Greiss was solid, imo an ideal back up.
Anyone that thinks we can get Larkin for Lundkvist/Kravtsov/ 1st should he become available, is in for a surprise...
He would look great here. Hopefully he doesn’t want to stay a RW too long and they suck next year.
I’ll add, once LaF fixes his poor skating issue, I think he’ll be a very good player.
Hopefully someone is telling him that it needs to be addressed in the offseason....
It’s the biggest thing holding him back from being dangerous.
If kakko can fix his legs in 1 offseason, LaF should absolutely be able to.

This coach blocked up a lot of roster spots with a bunch of rejects that nobody wants like McKegg and Hunt.

Chytil and Gauthier or 4th line under 10 minutes, Barron not playing. What the hell is going on? Does Drury support these decisions and this direction?

On the plus side, that unreal loser effort + instant attempt to deflect responsibility in the shootout probably cost Strome any chance of an extension.

IDK what Drury knows or doesn't know, but I'm pretty sure he knows that's not a guy you win with.

Ship him to hell. Strome is a loser.

Last week, Staple brought up Thomas Greiss as a possibility for the Rangers if they wanted to move on from Georgiev. Greiss is a low maintenance guy. Reading in between the lines. Georgiev must be a pain in the butt. Maybe Tony was not wrong when he slugged him last season. Arthur knows Greiss from their Islander days. Greiss is probably a really good guy. Staple was just speculating. Greiss has a higher cap hit than Georgiev. The Rangers have the space but it's not really worth the trouble of making two trades to change the back up goaltending. Georgiev won't be here next season. Just finish out the season. Shut up and stop the puck when Gallant calls your number. If the Rangers can't find any takers for him in July, they will not qualify him. Georgiev can make his own deal in the summer.
Yes, please.

If someone was to tell me the Rangers were considering add Lehkonen and letting Strome go in the offseason in favor of someone like Stastny on a short term deal I’d consider that. Someone on a shorter term deal as a stopgap. I could even get behind considering something like:

Kreider-Zibanejad-Lafreniere
Panarin-Goodrow-Kaako
Lehkonen-Chytil-Blais
Hunt-Barron-Reaves

Taking a step further - Stastny type is someone they could consider adding as a rental if needed at the next TDL

Panarin - Zibanejad - Lafreniere
Kreider - Chytil - Kakko
Lehkonen - Goodrow - Blais
Hunt-Barron-Reaves

JT Miller just continues to suck...

I can't imagine that they're going to wait too much longer before they start making some moves. This team desperately needs some reinforcements .

And Ryan strome is really doing anybody looking to resign him a favor lately, He's been absolutely awful

People that continue to pencil in chytil or strome as the second line center here a long-term just cannot see that the only way to make a substantial change in the top six of this lineup is to get a different style center in the 2C spot.

It's hard to believe there is 1 Rangers fan who would be willing to waste a year of Igor with Chytil at 2C.

It's almost as if people are ignoring the fact that he has plateaued here. That's not like a mean thing to say about him, but it's just reality. He's demonstrated consistently that he just doesn't have the offensive IQ to be that kind of player at this level. That's fine, not everybody can be, but it's like expecting georgiev to turn into a top 10 goalie in the NHL, It's completely unrealistic at this point

I'm not even saying we should get rid of him, give him a run at RW and see if he can get going. But the best chance we have to put a Cup winner in front of Igor is doing it before he's the highest paid goalie in the league. The Rangers aren't going to get a young top 6 C with term for Lundkvist, Kravtsov, and a 1st. But if we can get Miller @ 50% we can have Mika, Miller, and either Strome or Copp up the middle with Bread, Kreider, Laf, Kakko, Chytil, and Goodrow on the wings and our D crew for 2 playoff runs.

I wouldn't say he's plateaued at 22 years old. He's got plenty of time, and goes through good spurts showing what kind of player he might become in his prime later on, but he's probably not a fit for where this team is right now in terms of wanting to compete.

Was thinking this too. I don’t write off Chytil at all. He has great tools and appears to be a good easygoing guy. He will get many more chances to break through and I think he will. But I also think it will probably be when he’s 24-25 and with another team.
