For those that think Kakko is not doing so well. He has 1 more point than Dach from the 2019 draft. I would love Dach on the Rangers but I only see that happening is if they trade his younger brother which I doubt.

pretty sure Dach missed most of last season. But yeah he's nothing special so far. But then neither is Kakko.

More of a low-risk play here, but Scott Wheeler just noted that Dominik Bokk was loaned to the DEL after struggling in the AHL this year. Not sure what CAR would want for him, but it never hurts to take a chance on a highly talented 22 year old player.

We had Ryan Martin and Steve Eminger scouting the Flyers - Blues last night according to the tweet he's responding to there, which I find more interesting.

Our Assistant GM and one of our head pro scouts in attendance. Blues won't be selling. Flyers will be.

Flyers pending FAs:

Claude Giroux
Justin Braun
Kevin Connauton
Keith Yandle
Zack MacEwan

In net was Martin Jones, who Brooks noted could be a target if we find a new home for Georgiev. I wonder who we were taking a look at?

I can't wait to trade for Yandle only to have him sit in favour of Nemeth and break his Iron Man streak haha. That'd be the most Rangers-thing ever.

if his name was Danny Bocko he woulda been a 3rd rounder. my mind can't be changed on this.

It sends a wrong message to literally everyone and you instantly have a fractured locker room because rules apply to some and not others in a manner expressly endorsed by management.

That wouldn't happen.

I remember when everyone was losing their mind about not taking this guy in the 2018 draft bc we had 3 first round picks, people thought when we made the trade up in that draft that it was to take Bokk and then we took K'andre and people were pissed. He was a very trendy prospect.

Yeah, at the draft I was sitting next to a Blues fan and we were talking about players still on the board so I told him about Bokk. When the Rangers traded up he goes "There ya go, they're picking Bokk now!" and we went with Miller as you said. A few picks later, the Blues pick him, he turns to me and goes: "For the first time in years, I actually know something about the player we draft thanks to you"

DEL makes sense since the SHL doesn't allow short-term loans.

Not sure I would want Gallagher when possibly I could have Josh Anderson at a million cheaper and two years younger and a foot taller on our PP and at 5 on 5 play .
Anderson can't hold Gallagher's jock strap. Only thing Anderson has on Gallagher is size.

I spent way too much time in that draft thread defending Brady Tkachuk and Joel Farabee, while a lot of people were trying to say they’d never take either with our 9th pick. Funny how it all works out.

SCREW THE HAPPY LOCKER ROOM APPROACH
AG (50%) + Tinordi for Koskenkorva and a 2nd. Maybe something small added from the Oil.
We take on Zadorovs hefty UFA contract plus get an add so that Calgary can make the trade for Chiarot
We make a similar deal with Minnesota for V Rask so they can add someone attractive up front.
Gauthier, Chytil for Lehkonen, Poehling
Hajek and StL 2nd for Crouse. Maybe we add Henriksson or Reuanen. Or a 4th?
Edmonton’s 2nd and whatever we got for Rask/Zadorov for Copp

Kreider-Zibanejad-Lafreniere
Panarin-Strome-Kaako
Crouse-Copp-Goodrow
Lehkonen-Rooney-Reaves
V. Rask, R. Poehling
Hunt, Barron, McKegg Black Aces

Lindgren-Fox
Miller -Trouba
Zadorov-Schneider
Jones

Czar
Koskenkorva

OFF-SEASON
Strome walks. Rask, Koskenkorva, Rooney, Zadorov and likely Copp too
Blais signs his QO
Kakko (quietly) bridged.
Lehkonen and Crouse sign short term show me deals
Nemeth shipped out in the off-season (Detroit?)
Kravtsov and a small plus dealt for Vilardi in off-season
Stastny signed for $1 M in the off-season (with a deferrable bonus)
A vet backup stopgap signed for $1M

Kreider-Zibanejad-Lafreniere
Panarin-Vet/Vilardi-Kaako
Crouse-Goodrow-Blais
Lehkonen-Barron/Poehling-Reaves/Hunt

Lindgren-Fox
Miller-Trouba
Jones-Schneider
Nils/Robertson

Czar
VET UFA (Halak, Greiss)

Voila
Now please tell me if the meds are good enough?

this team can't score except on PP, so the answer is promote McKegg to the 3rd line. Brilliant. This McKegg nonsense is getting worse than any other Coach's pet project we ever had in the past. Where would this team be without PP and goaltending?

Honestly, the McKegg crap really screams to me of Gallant sending a message to Drury that he needs some reinforcements.

Either way, McKegg is not going to get 3rd line minutes as we think of them. Probably will be very little difference in 5v5 ice time between the 3rd and 4th line and Goodrow who is on the 4th line will 100% get more ice time than McKegg.

So there are less calls overall, but the volume of extra calls during the regular season are called when one team is already on the power play/short handed? Not sure I buy that.
someone did the math. Fun thing about math is it doesn’t matter if you believe it or not

I remember the meltdowns here when the Rangers passed on Bokk
