Sign Kadri as a UFA . He would be a nasty addition to our top 6 pretty boy crew . If it means keeping cheap guys for 3-4th line spots....do it . Panarin-Kreider & Zib-Kadri & Laf-Kakko and fill it out with Blais-Barron-Goodrow and Hunt-Rooney-Gauthier/Reaves and or Othmann /Cuylee . ??? A cheap back up, Jones/Robertson for Nemeth spot . Anyone want to take a stab at the math on that for next season ? Is it possible ? How about the following season ? I'd love to have Kadri.

Kadri is gonna get 7x8 after this season and some team is gonna be real perturbed when they end up back with the standard 60 points 2nd liner version of Kadri for the first three years then shit after that.

He might....but I doubt he will . I think more like 7.5x6 . He likely will age as well as the duo we have signed to lead us .

1. Sign Kadri to 7.75 x 6 years
2. Move on from Georgiev (acquire draft picks) and use a ELC backup
3. Trade Nemeth and 2nd to Arizona (cap dump)
4. Trade Chytil for draft pick(s)
5. Sign Kaapo and Blais to total cap hit together of ~4m
6. Sign Gauthier and Hajek near league minimum

We would still have around 1.18m cap space to work with (if we use Garand as backup) or 2.033m to fill backup (if Garand is not on active roster).
Kreider - Mika - Laf
Panarin - Kadri - Kaapo
Gautheir - Goodrow - Blais
Hunt - Barron - Reaves

Lindgren - Fox
Miller - Trouba
Jones - Schneider
Hajek

Shesterkin
Garand (or a better backup)

Look at Kadri’s suspension history. He’s a loose cannon.

You brave enough to take my bet? You believe in this coach, so why not?
Guy, you need help man. You need to get out more. Bet what? On some arbitrary definition of what is considered a good coach? Set by you? Bahahahaha, yeah hold on let me place that bet, should be a pretty fair assessment on your part.

Rum and Coke? A good whiskey? Personally, I like Tequila. I think you should have a nice stiff drink and relax.

To be fair, the Flames version of Bennett wasn’t worth that

even if you thought he was only max out as a 3C, it was worth it to us at that time. ADA and Lemieux were gone and team was soft as charmin.

plus 2. 2nds is what he returned. We might have gotten him for 2nd+ prospect? Who knows

You gotta figure that one or more of those guys would go back to Chicago in that deal. No way can they get those guys with giving up a bunch of trash that makes up a lot of their lineup.
They might be dangling Holtz+ their 1st...

they have guys like Hughes/Bahl/the Russian kid, and others coming on D to go with Smith/Hamilton/Graves/Severson.

all they really need is wing depth, and either a new goalie, or 1B with Blackwood, which I expect will be addressed in UFA..

mid NJ adds big cat and Hagel to their line up, they become dangerous the next day...

hate to say it boys, but this has the devils fingerprints all over it.....
With Hughes-Hirchsier-Mercer down the middle for a long time, they have the cap space and need the firepower on the wings.....
That’s the type of move that makes a statement for them, add big cat and Hagel to Bratt and a healthy Wood next season and bingo bango, there’s their fwd depth

Thats true but you HAVE to believe one of those 3 centers you mentioned will be going for big cat

You never know how far an unprotected 1st or top 3-5 pick may interest the hawks tremendously...
They have a majority of their hardest positions filled for years to come...

they would have the basis of their top 9 set....
Hughes-DeKat -???
Hirshier-Bratt-???
Mercer-Hagel-???
Wood-??-??

it makes a ton of sense

Yea but youre also talking about a 24yo 35g scoring winger so that itself is gonna cost the devils their 1st, one of those lovely prospects you mentioned plus something else. More than what everyone believes JT Miller should and would get for vancouver..

Then you add in Hagel who is 24yo breakout player. Gonna cost you again have to think 2 more prospects.

so while it would add the much needed depth to their lineup they should and would lose their farm and this coming 1st which will be a top 10 pick

Holtz, their 1st, Hughes, Bahl, The russian kid.. like you said that is what i would be asking for and losing 4 of those is ALOT.

Here's the bet:
If Gallant leads this team to a Stanley Cup within the next 2 and half years (Which is more than his average life span with a team), you get $500, I donate $1000 to the Garden of Dreams and I permanently delete my account with an IP ban.

If he doesn't then you gotta come on here and say I was right and you get a 6 month ban.

Deal? Now, don't forget, it's a loss if he gets fired. So you get 2022, 2023 and 2024 for him to get the Rangers a championship.

If you believe he is the great coach you say he is and you believe in him this should be an easy decision

I know there's more to consider than faceoffs, but Dach is absolutely atrocious at them. Like "shouldn't be a center" atrocious.

There's a difference between people saying he's not aa "bad" coach, as you said, and you now saying people are calling him a great coach. There's some middle groung between bad and great. No need to quit, this reasoning is ignore worthy. Bye.

Why would you want anyone who isn't a great coach coaching a team that has had one championship since 1940.

And you're happy with that?

Who would you have made an offer to last offseason? Who would you make an offer to right now?

Because it's late I'll be obtuse. The guy the Rangers really wanted was never leaving Carolina and there really wasn't a lot out there. That being said...

Guy I would have gone with has already been the head coach of this team this year, and is not Gallant
Guy I would go with now we can't because he's cancelled

Who are these two men?
