Kravtsov isn't going to be playing on this team and Chytil will never be the second line center the Rangers wanted him to be, and has failed every time he has been given a chance at a larger assignment. If you want to use a different word than "redundant" fine but the fact of the matter is neither of these two players have a long term future with the Rangers and thus are expendable. Cuylle is a completely different player than those two and will provide much needed depth and diversity to the line up.
Chytil can become a kind of Tuch style winger if he adds upper body strength and learns to put people through the boards. He has the speed etc. The question is do the Rangers have the inclination and patience to wait out that development for another two/three seasons. That's a valuable player to have. It's also a roll of the dice if it works.
Sadly I am going to have to conclude the conversation here as I struggle to talk with people who have particularly poor reading skills.
So did management.I just came here to say this. He hasn't proved anything on any type of ice yet.
He's riding the reputation of scoring more of his team's % of points than Kuznetsov, Tarasenko, Panarin etc. at the same age of like 18-19 years old. It was the most cherry picked stat in the history of stats and our fan base ate it up.
Maybe Gorton did. Maybe. But did Drury? Because it seems as though an expectation with an exceptional standard was set for him to make the team out of camp rather than award him a spot on the roster based on what I agree to be such a cherrypicked stat of convenience. So did management.
18 year old Eric LindrosWhat's the flavor of the week?
Who are we trading Kravtsov, Nils and a 1st for?

who's that Mr Ed Jovanoski?Canucks are going to flip Kravtsov right after we trade him for Bozo?

Irony is that I believe they only sent him to Hartford for conditioning as opposed to not being “ready” and he’d be up shortly and then we had the injuries so he would have been up anyway. A lot of miscommunication on Expectations and the “process” isMaybe Gorton did. Maybe. But did Drury? He doesn't. He wants to be covering the Islanders.Staple with a "Trade Rumblings" article on the Athletic but its all speculative. JT Miller, Ben Chiarot, Lehkonen, Namestnikov, Marc Staal (!) & Leddy mentioned. Also talks about Greiss as a low maintenance backup if Georgiev gets traded.
I have to say, Carp was a hack but at least he had a different perspective and recapped every game. Staple seems like he genuinely doesnt care.
Like I said, Giroux was never telling Philly to send him to a rival.
Yes, if you replace the last few years with his entire career.Hasn’t Dater been getting things wrong left and right the last few years?
the mystery box could be anything even a boat.this. Chytil also has 5 years with NYR and his development has stalled a bit. He also only has 1 year at 2.3 left, if he doesn’t have a great year, how much of a raise does he get? Is it worth it? Is he taking up a roster spot from a younger cheaper guy?
Cuylle has 3 years of ELC control.
He’s improved a lot since being drafted. He’s been excellent this year, and with his cup of coffee in Hartford last season....
2 completely different animals.
If I’m Drury, I’m keeping all of Cuylle/Berard/Othmann.
If they do include 1 in a deal, it better be another player coming back with cheap control as well..
I’d love to add Hagel to our group. He’s young and cheap enough and plays a similar brand of hockey that everyone in the FO wants. He’s also got 50-60 pt potential.
If we could add Hagel or Kravtsov, I’d add Hagel 10 outta 10 times.

Honestly from everything we've learned about Kravtsov from his actions over the years it really just seems he's an immature and spoiled kid who has had a charmed life and because he's talented he thinks he should have things handed to him. If he wants to be successful in the NHL he's really going to need to have a learning moment where he realizes his mentality and thought process is not where it needs to be.Irony is that I believe they only sent him to Hartford for conditioning as opposed to not being “ready” and he’d be up shortly and then we had the injuries so he would have been up anyway.
