But what this particular forum does is shit on it's own prospects and overvalue other team's veterans. Then those same posters complain that "This is Hockey's FUTURE, everyone here overvalues prospects, lulz, but Ryan Strome isn't worth a fraction of JT Miller even though they are basically equal."
Ryan Strome and JT Miller are basically equal is not a take I anticipated seeing today, gotta admit.

Now you have me fantasizing about:

To Col: JT Miller

To Van: Col 1st, Nils Ludqvist, Kravtsov

To NYR: Alex Newhook

not realistic whatsoever.
Kadri is gona get tremendously paid, newhook to them is like Schneider to us..

But I do think a potential 3-team deal might be the way to go to add the guy we’re looking for in the offseason

I don’t think any of us have much of an idea of what Drury might and might not do. As far as I can tell he’s been living like a hermit in a bunker pretty much since the beginning of the year. There’s almost no noise coming out of that bunker and yeah it annoys someone like a Larry Brooks to no end because he likes to speculate but if you don’t have sources or your sources don’t have anything it’s just throwing shit at a wall. Speaking of Seravalli the 33 year old Flyers guy his information on what the Rangers might do I suspect comes 100% from whatever somebody on some other team tells him. You can take that however you like but to me he’s full of just as much of the same shit as Brooks is flinging at the wall. Flyers guys make me suspicious anyway. As of now Drury is pretty much a blank slate.

Like Tampa was?

Posters make this more of an issue than teams do. The bottom line is that if you want a player from Vegas they aren't giving them away as some here continue to suggest they will have to...

The one pretty funny thing around the main boards and on other teams sub-boards is they all see the Rangers cap situation as very good, both now and in years to come. They seem to be making the joke that the only group of people that don't know LTIR exists are Rangers fans. It is, of course, not ideal, but it is worth thinking about. If any franchise has the money, its the Rangers.

Miller would not sniff 1st unit pp time here only thing he would do is bump one of the kids off of pp2

PP1: Panarin, Mika, Kreider, Fox and Strome
PP2: Lafreniere, Kakko, JT Miller, Trouba, K. Miller

It would allow the Rangers to better spread the minutes to that 2nd PP unit.

This is such a visionous history, I really hope you two go back and look at the first few pages of that signing thread. The overwhelming number of posters were killing the signing as an overpay. I was one of the few people in their defending it stating that Igor had all the leverage in the world did you just go back to Russia if you wanted to and that the rangers had no actual alternative to be their starting goalie at the time.

Furthermore just because you wanted him to sign for a longer term doesn't mean that he was ever going to, he is set up perfectly timeline wise to get one more huge payday contract and he's earning it. Players and agents are going to do what's best for them, not what's best for the rangers cap

He's already underpaid and probably will be for the next 4 years.

With Stone now going to LTIR and Vegas likely being able to ice an $85M+ roster in the playoffs...it really feels like the salary cap is more optional now than ever.

You can always find an injury and a vet looking for a break, though you still need to be good enough without them. I hope Drury makes plans to take advantage of this moving forward.

How is strome your ideal #2 center? The guy takes bad penalties, makes bonehead plays, cant play defense, and cant win faceoffs. Great he can put up some points but what we need is a responsible two way player that can win faceoffs at the center position.

The offensive production speaks for itself but beyond that, the guy makes his linemates better. He has phenomenal chemistry with Panarin, which is not a given. He’s also a pure leader, on and off the ice. He sticks up for himself and his teammates and he’s doing and saying all the right things off the ice as well. I think he’s a great 2C and a lot of people think he’ll be so easy to upgrade but again, that chemistry with Panarin is not a given, and all the intangibles he brings to the table are great for all the young guys to see as well.

He hired the right coach.
30-13-4 is a great record.
Sometimes the best move is being patient.
LGR!
