My mistake, people. I meant Kyle Connor

I just dont see why you dont slot

ADA/Trouba
Lindgren/Fox
Miller/Lundkvist

within the next season or so, with Hajek and Rykov as spares, and dont say "hmm, ok. I guess I should turn to more pressing issues like Strome and Fast in my top-six".
2021 baby, Miller needs some polish and Lundie needs 6-9 months of good old fashioned N.A. strength conditioning. Smith, Staal, Hajek fill the gaps

Kyle Connor is the wrong guy to get on WPG. The one you want is Ehlers. Better play, better contract, worse reputation.
We can debate that. Like I said, I have no interest in trading him and if I did it would be a top LD. But forgetting position, if a trade HAD to happen, that is the type of player that would fit my return profile.

Ehlers is a stud. So dangerous when he has the puck. Guy is gonna be 70-80 point guy with 30 plus goals easy. and making 6 million per.

Citing Graves as Gorton's worst deal is hilarious. The dude is completely carried by Makar and MacKinnon, I've even seen Avs fans say as much. This is no different than when Jeff Schultz led the league in +/- during 2009-10 on that Caps team that scored approx. 15,000 goals. It's honestly not even worth thinking about.

The Graves deal may not have been Gorton's worst trade, but it's pretty bad in retrospect, especially since they got a non player in return. The management/coaching staff didn't give him a real opportunity (guessing the coaching he got in Hartford didn't help). Is he a late bloomer? Maybe. Would he be the player he is now if the Rangers had kept him and gave him a chance? We'll never know. Will never be an NHL top pairing defenceman, but will be a top 4, the kid of player you need.

I don't think he'll ever be a 70-80+ point guy in WPG barring a big injury or unexpected trade because he will never find his way on to the top PP.

will make it harder but just shows you how dangerous he really is. He was on pace for 65-70 points this season and 27-28 goals. he just turned 24

If the Graves deal is the worst Gorton deal, I can certainly live with that. Means a Gorton has done a lot more good than bad
